It’s quite difficult to call this place a “restaurant” - an old tent in the middle of the street, a well-worn tablecloth, plastic cups and grandma’s silverware. So-so service, not very friendly staff. But what really can’t be taken away is that it’s very, very tasty! Excellent cuisine! Many locals dine here, which can also serve as a sign of quality.

We found this restaurant by chance and it was a wonderful experience. Attentive and friendly, loving staff, excellent food and generous portions just the way I like it, which fill my stomach and heart. Everything was delicious, a very pleasant family environment. When I return to Naples I already know where to eat, thanks❤️

All the best. The food is wonderful, fresh... We ate spaghetti with seafood and grilled seafood. Everything was very good, they didn't skimp on the food. Highly recommended

A real Neapolitan family restaurant. Good prices and fantastic seafood. If you go beyond appearances, you will have a real gourmet experience. Ask for the house specialty!

We had pasta with seafood, gnochi with seafood and we enjoyed these. We also ordered fried anchovies and even though they tasted ok they weren't fried proper, as they were a bit soggy. Their tent was getting hot because of the sun and they didn't have any fans to help with that. Also the owner seemed kinda aggitated and the whole atmosphere got weird when the Camora boys came to collect, i felt it was best to leave.

Trattoria Vanvitelli

18/05/2025: ...we have been guests of the restaurant several times, when - especially during the holidays - you feel the need to detach yourself from your stove and let others cook for you... It is also our preference to frequent the trattorias of Vomero whose history I wrote about in the review of the trattoria Nonna Maria. So we came to Piazza Vanvitelli recently on "Pasquetta", a crucial day for all the staff, with a full turnout, especially tourists. Impeccable service, excellent cuisine, on a sunny & cool day. Especially outdoors. We asked for parmigiana and "cuoppi di Nettuno" which were even too abundant! But the ladies at the table next to us asked for the "genovese", and this also filled the plates. Unfortunately, we enjoyed it cold because as Paolo Conte sings in the song "Bartali", women always want to pee... Since when you prepare this dish " 'o ssape tutt' o palazzo " due to the abundant use of onion, I abstain from it. Moreover, I prefer to prepare it only in the season of spring onions: to be clear, those with the "tails", also excellent for robust omelettes. From this, it is better to enjoy it in a restaurant! To try, in the future. Accompanied by two glasses of white wine.. really low costs, for two 68 euros.
12/05/2025: Good but a little expensive. Four of us took two bottles of falnghina, two mega appetizers of fried fish (enough for 4), four first courses (three with seafood), four desserts and coffee for a total of 190 euros. Quick and courteous service. You could have spent 40/50 euros less
