Tied for top two dinners we had in Sardegna. Amazing food and great local spot for trying specialties and having roast pig. Recommend!

A very simple place, with plenty of seating, and very well organized, thanks to Niccolò and Salvatore for their courtesy and professionalism. Served in record time, two excellent appetizers: crispy pecorino cheese accompanied by a delicious sauce and fried veal sweetbreads. Then came the suckling pig with a side dish. The suckling pig was cooked to perfection, with excellent flavor, melt-in-your-mouth, and the rind was incredibly crispy. The dish was generous. I also ordered three desserts and a liter of respectable house wine, totaling €118, truly excellent value. I recommend going.

This isn’t a place for fussy menus or trendy plating. Instead, it’s a celebration of simple, traditional flavours done perfectly. While this may not be the best choice for strict vegetarians, meat lovers will find themselves in heaven. The grilled pig I had was nothing short of outstanding, tender, richly flavoured, and cooked to absolute perfection. Even the grilled potatoes, often treated as a side note elsewhere, stood out here with their crisp exterior and soft, fluffy centre. Everything came together beautifully: the speed of service, the friendliness of the staff, and the relaxed atmosphere all made the experience feel both effortless and memorable. A Casa di Nonna isn’t just another restaurant: it’s a place where the food speaks for itself and reminds you why simple cooking, done right, is sometimes all you need. Highly recommended if you’re in Sardinia and want a proper taste of local hospitality.

We loved Casa di Nonna and it was our best meal in all of Sardinia. A simple place full of locals. We both got the porceddu plus red wine and grilled vegetables. Spectacular. We had porceddu in a few other places across Sardinia but nothing lived up to casa di nonna. A highlight of our trip and proof that sometimes the simplest things are the best

A charming, yet extremely simple, place with a welcoming atmosphere, thanks in large part to the extremely friendly staff. Their grilled dishes are excellent, and their suckling pig is very good and beautifully presented. However, I would have expected a little more from some of the dishes and their value for money, especially. For example, the cheese platter didn't meet my expectations in terms of quality and variety. The caponata seemed overpriced for the final result; the grilled vegetables were good, but the dish was very poor. I would recommend this place and would return for grilled dishes. Overall, the restaurant is a bit pricey for the experience offered.
