The cuisine is refined and made with high-quality ingredients, a testament to careful and passionate work. The wine list offers interesting selections, enhanced by the advice of the wait staff, always ready to suggest the perfect pairing for each dish.

The restaurant immediately appears very well-kept; the calm and elegant atmosphere makes for a very pleasant and engaging experience.
A wide selection of wines, with valid and refined options.
The menu offers a comprehensive and carefully curated selection of appetizers, first courses, second courses, and desserts. The dishes are then served with care, and the exquisite workmanship in the kitchen is evident from the presentation of the dish.
The quality of the food served is nothing short of extraordinary, with fresh and perfectly balanced ingredients.
The service is equally top-notch; the staff is very friendly and prepared from the very first touch to make the evening perfect.
The prices are reasonable and in line with the products and service provided.
I can only recommend this place.

16/05/2025: Attracted by the reviews of the place, I stopped for a quick breakfast. The result was a lukewarm cappuccino that I hate and a brioche,
kept in the fridge and therefore quite dried out. I should add that I left the brioche on the plate almost half full and no one asked me if there was something wrong.
11/05/2025: The best gluten-free pastry shop in the area! Not only are the products delicious but the atmosphere is always serene and welcoming. Having breakfast with their croissants is an experience worth trying 😃!

13/08/2025: I've been coming to the lake for years, but this year I noticed less cleanliness, tall grass, dirty loungers, people (all groups) listening to loud music, and mandatory sun loungers, even for children. 😔
17/07/2025: I've actually never set foot inside. I go to the lake on the same property. I just know that the parking lot is always full, even on weekdays. There must be a reason.

For a pastry shop, there were very few croissants available, which is truly unusual, especially in Italy, and even more so on a day like Sunday, when you'd expect more choice. Furthermore, to order, I had to get up and go to the counter myself because the waiter didn't even come to the table to take my order. I understand it was Sunday and there was a lot of noise, but service is still a fundamental part of the experience, and in this case, it was lacking.
08/08/2025: Quality, but also a few things that aren't quite right.
The croissants and pastries are above-average prices, which are justified by the high quality of the products, but paying €3.50 for a bottle of very common San Benedetto tea seems a bit excessive.
Just for info, the bottle costs 0.50 cents.
I think some things leave us speechless, or almost.

27/07/2025: I stopped by today with my family for a drink. My wife went to the counter to order while my son and I looked for the bathroom. A man, I think the owner, rudely told us we had to ask before going to the bathroom and that we had to order first. He showed zero politeness. I understand that some people use the bathroom without consuming anything, but that doesn't justify such behavior.

22/02/2025: Camerieri poco sorridenti; al nostro arrivo abbiamo comunicato di essere in 13 anziché in 25: il cameriere ci dice “Contatevi per essere sicuri poi potete sedervi”. What?
Pizze buone, nella media, cucina niente di che (porzione piccola e crema del piatto a base di radicchio amarissima)
Locale moderno, conto nella media per una pizzeria “gourmet” (13/15e a pizza)

23/11/2024: During an evening with friends, I had the pleasure of having dinner at Barkollo, the restaurant of a dear friend, Filippo. The atmosphere of the place is welcoming and informal, perfect for spending time in company.
The evening was one of the specials that Filippo organizes every now and then, with a fixed menu. On this occasion the protagonist was the skewer with potatoes, sausage and bread, accompanied by a cold beer. The dish was simple but incredibly tasty: the meat cooked to perfection, tasty and tender, the potatoes crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the fresh bread to top it all off.
The evening was made unique not only by the excellent food, but also by the convivial atmosphere and hospitality of Filippo, who knows how to put everyone at ease.
I highly recommend taking part
to these evenings at Barkollo: good food, good company and a family environment that makes every moment special. Congratulations to Filippo for the idea and the passion he puts into it. I will definitely be back for more evenings like this!
