10/02/2025: The route to reach the Hermitage is well signposted and can be done even by beginners. We enjoyed a walk to rediscover the scent of the forest, the sound of water and find balance. The Hermitage, lovingly preserved, awaits us at the top of Monte Froppa. The managers tell their story, we listened to them sitting around the fireplace savoring fresh hot bread, cured meats, local cheese, homemade desserts. The delicious hot sandwich, the welcoming and refreshing atmosphere. It is possible to gather in the small restored church and then leave and return to the valley. Thanks to the managers who have chosen a welcome that focuses on quality mixed with culture and the true spirit of hospitality at altitude, not "hit and run". Prices online. We will definitely be back.
22/01/2025: We were here for having lunch after hiking. The foods are great but we waited kinda long time although we booked at noon sharp only because they had not open the door yet. Understandable tho because they are small restaurant in this mountain. They do not have menu, so listen carefully on what they have at that day and you can also ask for the cost if you want. If you don't ask about the cost, they won't tell you. We didn't spend much anyway, so the price is fair.
The dogs cannot go inside so prepare some nibbles for your dogs while they wait for you outside. The owner provides water for dogs outside.

01/01/2025: Ho trascorso il Capodanno 2024 in questo bel rifugio. Accoglienza molto simpatica, cena eccellente e alloggio per la notte impeccabile. Un grazie di cuore ai gestori per questa esperienza davvero piacevole.
08/09/2024: Dopo una salita di circa 3 km non impegnativa si arriva.
Posto panoramico e accogliente, dove si pranza con prodotti di qualità. Consiglio vivamente di degustare i dolci prodotti da Barbara.

01/07/2024: Abbiamo raggiunto il rifugio in macchina per proseguire poi a pieni fino al Rifugio Padova.
Prima di partire ci siamo concessi qui caffè e biscotti per i bimbi!
Tutto buonissimo, tanto che al ritorno abbiamo fatto il bis addirittura con caffè fatto con la moka che ci hanno poi lasciato al tavolo!

Rifugio Baion

10/08/2024: Vivo la montagna ogni weekend per camminare e come tanti mi porto il pranzo al sacco, lo mangio al rifugio e poi prendo un caffè e una fetta di torta.
Tutti i rifugi in cui sono stata non hanno nessun tipo di problema con questa pratica, che può non essere usuale in altri luoghi, ma la montagna ha una regola non scritta, che è l'accoglienza. Non per niente, un rifugio si chiama rifugio ed è fatto per accogliere chi cammina per ore sotto ogni tempo atmosferico.
Questo rifugio ci ha fatti spostare da una panchina, perché per consumare il pranzo al sacco chiedeva 3 euro a persona su tutta l'area.
La possibile obiezione? Il contributo serve a coprire i costi di gestione di un rifugio in un luogo impervio. Peccato che:
-il rifugio è raggiungibile in macchina e non ha bisogno né di teleferica né di elicottero
-il prato circostante non è adatto per mangiare al sacco, perché non è pianeggiante e c'è l'erba alta
I gestori possono applicare la politica che vogliono... Ma questa non è la filosofia della montagna e di certo non consiglierò questo rifugio ad altri.
09/07/2024: Rifucio molto accogliente stile famigliare , rustico e come dovrebbe essere in linea con la montagna .
Cibo caratteristico , genuino …top !
Consigliato per famiglie con bambini , con vista panoramico strepitosa ! Merita!!!
