Biffy
Ginosa
22/02/2026: The place is welcoming and the service is discreet. The food is pitiful, the ingredients are low-quality, the fish smells bad, and the condiments are randomly added. The tablecloth and decorative flowers are dusty, and the prices are exorbitant. I don't recommend it.
21/02/2026: We've been several times, everything is delicious, everything is freshly made, the owners are fantastic, the place is comfortable, and the pizza is delicious. I highly recommend it.

Dolcevita - Sapore Napoletano
Ginosa
05/04/2026: Unfortunately the portions are very small...it would have been better to specify
08/03/2026: After a two-and-a-half-hour wait for our pizza, the owner responded with "Saturdays are like this..." as an excuse for their organizational incompetence. We need to apologize first!
Furthermore, we ended up paying more than we should because they can't even do the math and they play around a lot...
We made a fool of ourselves with some friends who were coming from out of town; we didn't expect such a poor service!!

Cavese
Ginosa
08/05/2026: We went to Cavese for pizza. The place has a '90s feel, and the menu is equally as impressive. Probably even a reprint. The fish appetizers didn't have anything listed on the menu, and I don't know how much else was missing, as we didn't ask because it seemed like it was our fault. So we limited ourselves to pizzas. The dough would have been excellent because it was so light, if they hadn't been almost all burned. Mine, in addition to having sauce (not listed on the menu), also had a decidedly unpleasant odor from the shrimp. Partly out of regret at throwing away a pizza, partly out of hunger and recklessness, I ate them anyway, hoping for no repercussions. After finishing the pizza, we asked for two barrel-aged grappas. We were served something in two plastic cups. At which point, one of the guests remarked in local dialect that the barrel-aged grappa should be enjoyed in a glass. The irritated response was, "We offer these and serve them in plastic." Not even to warn you that it wasn't even grappa, but something with a washed-out herbal flavor. And not to downplay the liquid from grappa, but precisely because it tasted so diluted.
25/03/2026: Everything was perfect, the quality of the food was excellent, the pizzas were delicious, the owners were very kind, I would definitely go back, I recommend it.

Bar Seventy Seven di Pietro Sarubbi
Ginosa
31/05/2026: We arrived in Stigliano for a beautiful hike, and like any self-respecting explorer, we had a crucial mission: to find a cappuccino and a croissant before the caffeine level in our blood reached absolute zero.
After a brief search, we entered Bar Sarubbi. To be honest, the first impression wasn't one that makes you think, "I'm going to have a mystical experience here." But when the need for coffee calls, you can't be too picky.
The cappuccino turned out excellent, and as we chatted, my curiosity as a coffee enthusiast took over. I asked what blend they used. The answer was interesting: not a single espresso, but a special blend, enriched with locally roasted coffee.
At that point, what always happens when I hear about secret blends happened: I ordered an espresso.
And there, the story took an unexpected turn.
The cup arrived. The crema was a beautiful hazelnut color. I put my nose closer and smell chocolate. First sip... silence. Second sip... more silence. Third sip... by now I was busy re-evaluating all my personal rankings of the best coffees.
No aggressive acidity. Perfect roast. Full body. Sweet and velvety aftertaste. A coffee that doesn't slap you in the face to get noticed, but rather wins you over with elegance.
I have to admit: it was one of the best espressos I've had in recent years.
Bar Sarubbi isn't one of those places where you find poetic descriptions of the beans, experimental extractions, or baristas with stopwatches around their necks. Yet, in that simple cup, I found a quality that many specialty coffee bars would do well to emulate.
Moral of the story? Sometimes you travel hundreds of kilometers in search of the perfect coffee, only to find it where you least expect it.
If you're passing through Stigliano, do yourself a favor: stop by Bar Sarubbi and order an espresso. The risk is that all the other coffees will then seem a little less interesting to you.
