02/01/2026: I definitely recommend this place. I assume they're two very nice and kind sisters. I'll definitely return if I ever pass through. I had a stellar first course: fettuccine with cavolo nero, speck, and pumpkin cream. Compliments to the chef. Recommended. 👍👍

05/01/2026: Atmosphere: La Stüa is located just steps from the center of Gorizia. The atmosphere is a perfect mix (in my opinion) of classic Friulian and modern. It's not huge but comfortable, divided between the restaurant and a bistro-style space for quick meals, offering platters and bruschetta, etc. We tried the restaurant for lunch. The Toc' in braide appetizer was excellent, as were the first courses, especially the fusilli with stewed duck sauce. Fast service, excellent value. Recommended.

02/01/2026: Splendid location, in the historic center, in the most beautiful square. Welcoming, very kind! Very good at recommending wines, attentive to the customer's tastes, and perfectly matching the food.

03/01/2026: I don't think we'll be back. Twenty minutes to order, an hour and ten minutes to eat a half-burnt, half-raw pizza covered in oil. When we complained about the wait, the manager (I think) came to our table and said he'd let us "move ahead." After us, there were four tables of customers upset about the wait, who were given a plate of fries to appease them. We didn't get fries (which we didn't want) and not a single euro off. The excuse at the cashier was "I have the flu, there's a lack of staff, we've had to close other places... well, you could have closed this one too, or at least stopped doing takeout and treated the customers who also pay for service well.
