It can happen, but the negative aspect was the owner's reaction: he didn't apologize for what had happened, he wasn't sorry, and he accused us of having placed the hair on us, for some unknown reason. Dear owner of Osteria dei Mercanti...you write many untrue things, you're not honest in what you say... We didn't come to your place for lunch, but for dinner. When the very young waiter came to get the pappardelle, he didn't apologize at all, nor did he ask if we wanted anything else. I was the one who, seeing your total indifference to what had happened, and no longer wanting to eat, signaled him from afar to stop bringing anything. But the young man didn't ask us anything and later even confirmed it to you. YOU were aware of what had happened and, as the owner, you could have come to us and apologized. I want to emphasize that THE PROBLEM wasn't the hair immediately found in the pappardelle. It can happen, it does happen, and WE didn't make a big deal out of it; in fact, we politely and privately spoke to the waiter. SHE created the problem because when we came to pay and told her what had happened, she started by saying, "SHUT UP, I'LL DECIDE HOW TO PAY THE BILLS," and in a very arrogant tone, she added, "YOU COULD HAVE PUT THE HAIR ON OUR PLATE TOO." I read again in her response many sentences that highlight her arrogance and rudeness. In the first response, we were rude and unwelcome. Now, all of a sudden, I'm the arrogant one, while my husband is kind and polite. She quickly changes her mind!!! When she openly offended us, she did it to both of us, including my husband, and told us that WE put the hair on our plate, and I repeat, SHE HAS NEVER, and I repeat, NEVER, APOLOGIZED. We also wanted to pay for the dinner, except for the pappardella, which contained your hat. This was especially true since the pappardella was never tasted, but sent back intact. It's true that you didn't include it in the bill, and I acknowledged this and wrote it down. But, dishonestly, you charged us 9 euros for a cover charge for two people, when the menu stated 2 euros per person. Was it us who wanted the free dinner, or was it you who wanted to make money off us despite your mistake? I should add that other reviews report that you responded rudely and treated customers poorly. So we're not the only ones writing this. We often eat out, but we've never had anything like this happen to us from an owner. Furthermore, your response lacks any arguments or logical reasoning to support our claims. She demonstrates in public and on social media that she is an ARROGANT, RUDE person because she only knows how to offend us again, telling us that "I have personal problems." What a low-level person. MAYBE SHE SEES A PROBLEM IN US THAT'S HER OWN, AND GIVEN HER GREAT ARROGANCE AND PRESUMPTION, SHE DOESN'T ADMIT IT. Being in the public doesn't mean being a slave to others; freedom lies in maintaining politeness and courtesy when faced with disagreements with customers and showing RESPECT by knowing how to resolve a problem with tact and humility. I use reviews because I don't tolerate ARROGANCE, RUDENESS, INSULTS, LYING, DISRESPECTFUL PEOPLE, AND EVEN THOSE WHO CAN'T SAY..."I'M SO SORRY, SORRY"...I will always fight and will fight!!!!!!!!!!

17/09/2025: I only stayed 1 night, but overall it was a very positive experience... My room (overlooking the pool) was small but well-maintained... Comfortable beds Not all channels were visible in my room. In the evening, you can hear the train in the distance, but it's not a bother... The restaurant is good. The only drawback for those staying here on a business trip is that it's too late after 8:00. In my case, it should be at 7:00, like in most places... It's a shame, because the location is a bit out of the way, but very charming...

22/06/2025: Prenotato fuori ma ci hanno messo dentro. Stanza rumorosa con i condizionatori accesi che facevano baccano. Piatti abbastanza buoni. Servizio veloce ma non perfetto. Sembra più il ristorante dell’albergo che per gli esterni.

27/06/2025: Lunedì sera, quindi locale non troppo affollato. Ordiniamo la pizza alle 21, arriva alle 22.20. Sbagliano il conto 3 volte quindi ulteriore perdita di tempo di mezz’ora con la cassiera che dava pure la colpa a noi per il conto sbagliato. Senza parole, non ci rimetteremo piede mai più.

19/05/2025: Ho frequentato per diverso tempo questo posto rimanendoci spesso male per l atteggiamento sgarbato e per nulla empatico di alcuni membri del personale, soprattutto da parte della barista/cassiera. Il motivo? Una stravaganza da me richiesta: un semplice bicchiere d acqua al posto del litro d acqua che in ogni modo han cercato di propinarmi a ogni pasto. A nulla è valso spiegar loro che nn bevo quasi ai pasti perché sennò sto male. Ho assitito a un crescendo di atteggiamenti provocatori al limite dell infantilismo, incluso il farmi attendere minuti alla cassa mentre, la cassiera, mi preparava davanti cabaret interi di caffè da servire ai vari tavoli, semplicemente per farmi attendere. Mai mi sono imbattuto in una tale commistione di cattiveria e arroganza e di locali ne frequento di continuo per il mio lavoro. Spero che il titolare legga questa recensione così da capire che gente paga. Sconsiglio vivamente questo posto a chi cerchi, assieme a un pasto, un po' di sincera empatia e cordialità. Ne sono sprovvisti. A chi voglia andare, auguro di entrar nelle simpatie della barista/cassiera
