18/02/2026: From the moment you arrive, the convenience of parking allows for a stress-free approach to your meal, but it's once you're seated that you feel the true strength of this restaurant: a perfect synchronicity, an engine revving at an incredible pace.
Despite the restaurant being packed, the service was Teutonic, almost astonishingly fast, allowing us to enjoy each course without any unnerving waits.
The cuisine is a true triumph of traditional flavors, where the adjective "abundant" is almost an understatement. We embarked on a long gastronomic journey from appetizer to dessert, where the generous portions never overshadowed the impeccable quality of the ingredients.
It's extremely rare to find a place where the efficiency of the staff and the deliciousness of the dishes blend so well with decidedly modest prices. It was an exciting and authentic experience, a perfect blend of quality, quantity, and courtesy.

08/02/2026: The pool has been a pond since the summer, and I wanted to take a dip, but the pond also contained a dead frog. Why, why, why, a dead frog in the pool? You could have used it for the Chinese menu!

14/02/2026: Beautiful, immaculately kept restaurant. Service was incredibly fast, especially with all the tables occupied, given that it was Valentine's Day. The pizzas were delicious, and the pane cunsatu (a kind of bread) with exceptional pecorino cheese was also excellent. Special praise goes to the staff, who are truly kind and attentive, and who always make sure their guests are satisfied. A truly fantastic experience... it's a shame it's so far from home... but if I'm ever in the area again, thank you so much.
08/02/2026: Terrible experience, the owner was very rude to customers, the food was passable. We asked for a different menu for someone with an intolerance, and they brought fewer dishes, leaving the intolerant person to watch others eat. Yes, we asked for water because it ran out and they forgot to bring it. At the table, we asked for an extra item since they brought one each, and they replied that it was "just one each," so they didn't bring it.
Absolutely negative experience.

04/02/2026: I had the opportunity to visit the swimming pool in Cammarata today. Unfortunately, the sauna was closed. In general, the pool is in a deplorable state. It doesn't resemble the pictures on the website at all. Rain also leaks into the hall because the roof is faulty. Entry costs €7. The water, even in the showers, was only lukewarm. Many thanks to the staff. I think they're working with what they have. It's difficult...

26/12/2025: The food is very good, but almost all the food is salty. The salad is already dressed, which is not good. If you don't eat vinegar in your salad, you have to bring the oil containers separately. Otherwise, everything is fine.

06/02/2026: Great location, super friendly, lovely restaurant (very nice toilet for Sicily!), inexpensive (though I was here at the beginning of November).
05/01/2026: We had lunch at the Vecchio Filici restaurant and were very satisfied. The service was attentive and friendly from start to finish, with the staff always available.
At our request, they even prepared leftovers for our dog, a truly appreciated gesture that demonstrates great customer care. At the end of the meal, they also offered us coffee and amaro, making the experience even more enjoyable.
A very successful lunch in a welcoming atmosphere: we will definitely be back. Recommended!

15/02/2026: Unique experience.... never done before... unique and one of a kind... everything was awful from the starter to the dessert... highly not recommended.
06/01/2026: We were there for lunch with friends, we ordered the fish menu.
What can I say, the fish smelled rotten, inedible, so we reported it and they told us to cover it with lemon. We were shocked, so we sent it back, and to make us happy, they brought some fruit.
When it came to the bill, they made us pay the full bill, without even offering a discount. The owner, who seemed kind at the beginning of the meal, turned out to be rude. We will never return, she doesn't even deserve half a star.

09/11/2023: Villa Giatra closed a couple of years ago both as a restaurant and as a hotel.
The structure now houses a retirement home.
26/08/2023: Today we spent a wonderful day in this beautiful and above all clean place to spend a day at the pool, the kind staff and the lady at the bar with a beautiful smile and kind and kind affectionate, in short, we had a great time and usually something to be repeated. 😊💕

05/01/2025: Avevo sentito parlare bene di questo posto... Ma forse siamo stati un po sfortunati... Cominciando dalla troppo poca illuminazione del locale... La tavola apparecchiata al minimo... Solo con posate un solo bicchiere e tovaglioli poggiati sul tavolo... Un dolce cagnolino che ogni tanto scappava e gironzilava sotto i tavoli, la signora gentilmente lo recuperava e poi chissà... se lavava le mani quando poi serviva... Prezzo 35 euro a persona... Per un servizio sicuramente celere... Il tempo che inghiottivamo e a catena di montaggio arrivava il seguito... Quantità eccessivamente poca... Un piattino di insalata per 4 adulti e 2 bambini... E mi è stato detto... Eh signora solitamente la lasciate tutti
.. Vabbè... Passiamo alla pasta... Sicuramente preparata la mattina o la sera prima e poi evidentemente riscaldata!!!! I piatto dei dolci non copriva il numero dei commensali... E ci è stato detto che era solo un assaggio... Sicuramente molto da migliorare... Solo il posto vale per essere visitato.

Agriturismo Sicilia - Antica Masseria Gargiuffè

10/12/2024: Great Hosts in an enchanting location: difficult to get there but we got used to the ride down to Gargiuffe. The evening meal was always to die for and we spent four nights of absolute tranquility. Anybody who fancies trekking in a slightly rough environment this makes an ideal starting point. Cristina was always full of local information , places to visit , where to have lunch , very very helpful. Will definitely go again.......

16/08/2024: We spent the entire day at the agriturismo, pietro and the team looked after us really well. The pool was nice and lunch was absolutely fantastic.
€33 per person for the pool all day and lunch including wine and water is great value. We will return very soon.
