26/04/2026: If I had to describe the experience, I'd say without hesitation that this is a place that has found a rare balance between quality, hospitality, and authenticity. From the first moment, you sense genuine customer care: the location is well-maintained, harmonious, with a relaxed atmosphere that pairs perfectly with a seafood lunch with friends. Nothing is left to chance, but everything feels natural, never forced. The real strength, however, is the cuisine. The dishes proved to be excellent, expressing the freshest and most carefully selected ingredients. The seafood menu is intelligently crafted with respect for tradition, but with that extra edge that makes all the difference: clean, well-defined flavors that enhance each ingredient without overpowering it. Worthy of note—and far from a given—is the great attention paid to dietary requirements: they managed to create a comprehensive and thoughtful gluten-free menu, demonstrating expertise, sensitivity, and a professionalism that deserves to be highlighted. The service was simply impeccable. Perfect timing, a discreet yet constant presence, and a management team that exudes confidence and passion for the profession. A special mention goes to the young waiter who looked after us: courteous, elegant, and always attentive without ever being intrusive. Finally, the value for money is surprisingly good: considering the quality of the offerings, you'll leave feeling completely satisfied. In short, La vecchia scuola isn't just a restaurant, it's an experience worth having. A place where you eat well, feel good, and want to return. Highly recommended to anyone in Marceddì or the surrounding area.

05/04/2026: Excellent dinner! Fantastic orziadas, excellent mussel soup, and the fish main courses are also very good, such as the fried calamari and roasted octopus. The place is very clean and has modern furnishings, although a little cold. The staff is very friendly and the prices are fair.

17/08/2025: So far, I've only tried the yogurt and bubble tea, but they're both divine. They have a great selection of fruit dips, various chocolates, and tons of toppings... Everything is delicious, really, so I highly recommend it! Plus, the owners are super friendly!
