06/11/2024: We had a terrific dinner here even though we didn’t have a reservation. They made me a vegetarian option specially, which was delicious and nicely presented. I requested salad as a starter, but they also brought succulent bruschetta. The bread they used as the same as the “cover”bread, but toasted and topped with tomatoes and olive oil. I didn’t ask for it, but it was very welcome, and made it seem like a meal, rather than something makeshift. My husband’s fish antipasti looked amazing and comprised of squid, fish cakes, and tuna, which was especially good according to husband. Again, beautifully presented. He then had cheese filled Ravioli and tomato-y meat sauce plus choice of grilled fish with chips (he could have had salad instead of chips). His fish was surprising to me, because it wasn’t simply fish. The fish itself was topped with smoky tomato and olive sauce. I can personally confirm that the olives were delicious! His Set Menu of 3 courses plus a little jug of wine and a small bottle of water and coffee came to €35, which was very good value for the quality and quantity of ingredients. It was a lot of food. My main course was a huge plate of pasta with pesto. Simply the tuna pasta dish elsewhere on the menu without the tuna, but it goes to show what happens when the chefs know how to cook and take pride in what they do. It was delicious. They wanted to make it nice for me, even though they don’t have vegetarian options listed on the menu. I am grateful to our waitress, because I would not have asked for a special dish. I probably would have made do with salad and chips. It was her creativity and the restaurant’s generosity which made it a lovely meal. We had no idea what my dinner would cost. There was no A La Carte Menu, and they could have said anything. €50 for our meal for two was reasonable and honest. It’s obvious why it’s better to book, but you can always try a walk up. They aren’t taking for reservations out of pretention. The place was full of locals and obviously could get very busy. We were warmly welcomed by the chef as we came in and the staff could not have been nicer. We are so glad we made the effort. Such a delightful place in terms of the actual food and the attitude of the people. Please try them! Be aware that when you come here, the menu is entirely in Italian, and rightly so. This place is not a tourist trap. Come prepared with a translation app or menu decoder phrases. Staff spoke some English and French.

02/11/2024: Un locale semplice ma dove si mangia un'ottima pizza e con una buona qualità del cibo proposto. Vengono proposti vari menù completi ad un ottimo prezzo. Gentilezza e professionalità del servizio. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.

13/11/2024: It says everything you need to know about the quality of the food that the only other tourists were Italian. This place does a bustling takeaway trade catering to locals, but also has a sheltered seating area outside (for the tourists!). We had a large Calasettana (tuna) (€8) and medium Vegetariana (€6) plus a medium portion of chips (€3). 20% was added, presumably for service and sitting outside. Tax was separate. €20 total was good value for the amount of food. I got the impression not many people order the Medium pizza—it’s only a little bit smaller than the Large, but we had enough leftover between us for a second full meal. There was more than one vegetarian option to choose from, plus I suspect that due to the turnover, the food here will be fresher than what was on offer at our hotel. I saw another review here mention that the speed of service, but that reviewer must have hit a busy moment. For us, it was exactly as expected for pizzas made to order. There was a constant flow of people using the takeaway counter, but of course, we don’t know what they ordered or if they called in advance. Our meal was good.

12/09/2024: In attesa di un amico, sono entrato per bere uno spritz, ho seminato il panico... Ho chiesto alla prima ragazza vista se fosse possibile bere un aperitivo ( ore 18/18:30) ha riflettuto sulla richiesta, chiedendo ad un signore, il tizio mi ha detto di aspettare la ragazza al telefono, finito di prendere le ordinazioni delle pizze, mi ha " servito " lo spritz, senza vetro, senza noccioline e senza scontrino... Per fare cassa ha chiamato la quarta persona, ho creato una sorta di indotto dello spritz, per carità consapevole di essere entrare in una pizzeria, ma avrebbero dovuto dirmi di aver pazienza per la priorità alla preparazione o alle prenotazioni, triste servire una bevanda sul bancone vicino ad una borsetta di qualcuno del personale... Comunque un buono spritz

22/09/2024: Gelateria in centro forse l'unica , personale cordiale e numeroso, cono discreto, mi ha impressionato il gusto caffè in positivo, per il resto tutto normale compreso i prezzi

08/09/2024: Un punto di ristoro veramente utile, ben fornito e pieno di golosità, naturalmente la carne è la padrona di casa: Maialetto, coniglio, puntine, alette, pollo, patate in tutte le salse, verdure, tutto lo staff è GENTILISSIMO, simpatico e sorridente, uniche (piccole) pecche, la fila non organizza e le dosi, tendono a riempire il contenitore, ok è pappa buona ma il conto sale, comunque basta controllare la porzione non fanno nessuna obiezione. Prezzi al passo con I tempi PS prenotare è meglio

18/10/2024: Härligt läge nere vid hamnen för nöjesbåtar. Servitrisen (innehavaren?) har alltid ett leende på läpparna, vilket bidrar starkt till den positiva känslan.

28/09/2024: Uno spritz 8 euro.... Olive arachidi e patatine.. Ho detto tutto... Il prezzo massimo nella zona è 6 euro ma sempre accompagnato da tagliere di stuzzichini...

01/08/2023: A distanza di un anno abbiamo ripetuto la cena in vigna a base di tonno ALTHUNNUS delle Tonnare Sulcitane di Portoscuso🐟 Serata stupenda in un ambiente intimo, curato e ricercato in cui poter gustare dell’ottimo vino, Carignano del Sulcis su piede franco ed un tonno a dir poco superbo!!! Qualche giorno dopo, rapiti dalla singolare atmosfera che il luogo offre, abbiamo gustato una verticale del BIO nelle annate dal 2016 al 2019…🔝 Un plauso speciale dunque a Massimo, Tessa, Adriano ed allo staff tutto della tenuta La Sabbiosa che, a vario titolo, concorrono a rendere speciale ogni singola esperienza. A presto!!!🍷🍷🍷
