31/12/2024: Ci siamo fermati in questo locale non avendo trovato altro posto dove fermarci per pranzare. Ci hanno trovato subito un posto al sole fuori dal locale ed oggi si stava benissimo! Abbiamo preso due pesci spada con patatine. Le porzioni molto abbondanti e devo dire, ben cucinate. Abbiamo speso, con una bottiglia di acqua gasata, 46€. Non si può dire sia proprio a buon mercato, soprattutto l'acqua a 3€. Ma abbiamo visto prezzi ben più alti da queste parti....

01/10/2024: Our accommodations at Le Capase were good and it’s a beautiful area, but service at this resort pertaining to one major issue left us feeling very frustrated and disheartened to the point of us not recommending this resort to anyone. After we had checked out, we were walking up to our rental car in the parking lot right in front of the hotel, and noticed some major damage on the hood. This was a surprise because we hadn’t even driven the car since our arrival at the resort. We went back to reception, and they said they needed to call the owner of the hotel. There are cameras that face the parking lot, and they looked back at the footage to find out that one of the restaurant’s delivery drivers backed into our rental car and drove away (hit & run). But, they explained that since the restaurant is a “separate entity”, they are not liable (even though we were in the hotel’s parking lot and the restaurant is connected directly to the hotel). We should have involved the police right away, but the receptionist made us feel like we were going to get everything we needed (including the driver’s information) to share with our rental car company as we have a hefty deductible since it’s technically a “high-risk” area in Italy. Because of this, we decided to go on our way (the rental car was luckily still drivable). Since leaving Le Capase, their customer service has a been terrible. They are no longer helpful or apologetic — as if they’ve already wiped their hands clean of their guests’ unfortunate situation. It’s been an extremely frustrating process, and we thought we would at least get some assistance from a nicer, more spend-y resort. They did give us the number to the restaurant manager so that we can get the information of their delivery driver that hit us, but this turns out to be an invalid number… So now we are stuck with an expensive payment to our car rental company & no culpability or compensation from Le Capase resort. Because of this treatment, we recommend finding a different accommodation if you are looking in this area.
