20/09/2024: We booked ahead so as not to miss out on this hidden gem due to the limited indoor seats (there are also outdoor seats in the height of summer). The surroundings are intimate, a beautiful vaulted ceilinged room, filled with the best local and Italian wines. Ronnie and Danni were superb hosts for our culinary journey around the Valle D'Itria. Having no menu, taking the finest, freshest, seasonal ingredients from the region and showcasing them in small plate format. Across several courses, we were treated to local meats, cheeses, vegetables, and breads. Special mention needs to go to the buratta, the chilli Ricotta wrapped in riddled courgette, and the Martina Franca cured meats. We drank a local white wine and enjoyed lots of discussions with Danni about the sourcing and preparation of the dishes. Run, don't walk, to this excellent restaurant.

08/08/2024: We went to Ronny thinking of a good glass of wine accompanied by an aperitif but right from the start we realized that everything was really special, from the professional welcome of Ronny and his collaborator Daniela, from the surprising competence on everything, as well as from the very refined and particular setting of the place and the spectacular aperitif accompanied by an excellent wine. I can truly say that it was a taste experience of unparalleled quality rather than an aperitif. Not only do I recommend it but I warmly invite you to have an aperitif at Ronny's for its uniqueness in the genre. Supreme quality of food and wines.

04/04/2024: Me ne avevano parlato bene e devo dire che sono stato ben consigliato. Sono stato loro ospite il giorno di Pasqua dove notoriamente non è il massimo per apprezzare un locale nuovo. Forse solo la location non era il massimo, il nostro tavolo era stato ricavato spostando un banco frigo ma almeno ci siamo accomodati. I piatti a menù fisso data la giornata sono stati uno migliore dell'altro, dagli innumerevoli antipasti, ai primi mare e terra, per non parlare della carne ed in particolare l'agnello cotto in pignatta al fuoco del camino. Gusti di una cucina dimenticata.... Ci rivedremo spero a breve.

21/01/2024: Quality and price...the strong points of the place...

02/09/2024: We had dinner here over the holidays. The dishes were good and plentiful, it's a shame they weren't presented and described adequately. We were not told that we could look at the counter and choose directly there. Then seeing the beautiful (and apparently well cooked) steaks that went to the other tables, perhaps we would have ordered something else, in type and quantity. Basically, we weren't sure what we had ordered until it was brought to us. The sulking waitresses, all pissed off... I understand that we are at the end of the season, but what can we do about it? We come here often, from quite far away, and it's nice to be entertained with a few polite words explaining the local cuisine, rather than being treated like nuisances. We will return, even just to see if it was just a coincidence or they are just like that.
