08/01/2026: I stumbled upon it by chance during a business trip for a quick dinner and was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is refined and elegant, the service attentive and professional. The food is excellent, with just the right portions that are satisfying without being overwhelming. A pleasant discovery, I would gladly return.

16/01/2026: Worth it! The dishes are beautiful, we especially loved the grilled octopus with mashed potatoes. Warm, cozy environment and friendly staff. The pistachio tiramisu was my favourite, it was the perfect way to end our lunch. Grazie mille!

15/11/2025: I had the pleasure of participating in a day organized with a truly well-planned program: chestnut picking in the woods followed by lunch. The picking was a lot of fun, aided by a splendid sunny day; the three of us were so good at picking about 15 kg of chestnuts. The lunch that followed was even better. In a beautiful restaurant, we enjoyed an excellent appetizer, two exquisite first courses, and a truly delicious second course. Cost: I won't tell you, but it was truly excellent! Recommended and definitely worth repeating!

02/01/2026: My husband and I have been going to this restaurant for years, even though we live in Umbria. The place appears clean and tidy, the service and helpfulness of the owners and waiters is unique, they do everything they can to satisfy the customer, the food is good, the price is reasonable, I highly recommend it to everyone!!!!!!

14/02/2026: Looking for a last-minute dinner, we stumbled upon this place by chance. It was fully booked, but there was a table available for at least an hour, so we decided to stop anyway, not knowing where else to go at that hour. We were greeted and served with such kindness. We ordered chicken, tacos, vegetables, and potatoes. They were truly delicious and well-prepared, offering new flavors. If we return to Cortona, we will definitely book a table in advance to enjoy other dishes. Thanks to the staff for welcoming us at the last minute.

14/02/2026: A truly warm and welcoming place. Very kind and polite service. After a reasonable wait of 15-20 minutes, we ate excellent Peruvian food. After the obligatory mopping up of the plates, we left our plates practically clean 😜. Generous portions and excellent prices. Highly recommended! Compliments to all the staff.

07/02/2026: It's clear that they have a good knowledge of leavened products and pizza; the dough is definitely good. Even the ingredients used, on average, seem to be of good quality; from the tomato to the mozzarella, to the various toppings. Personally, I found the pizzas a bit salty (I'm not sure if it's the dough itself or the mix; I'm talking about the simple Margherita too). Some toppings were a bit sparse for the price. The service is simple but friendly and pleasant; they always try to please the customer. The real sore point, in my opinion, is the prices, which are indeed a bit too high. (Definitely on the round pizzas). If I'm not mistaken, for a round ham and mushrooms, we're talking €11 (which I think is definitely too much; on average, elsewhere, the same flavor is €8-9). I would compensate for this price point with a much more generous topping on top. UPDATE MAY 2025 We ordered a takeout pizza, a peel. Unfortunately, I have to say it was truly awful; as you can see from the photos, the dough was "raw," as if it hadn't risen. Mistakes that simply can't happen. I confirm what I said previously about the quality of the ingredients used, the friendliness of the staff taking the order, and the somewhat high prices. UPDATE FEBRUARY 2026 We ordered a takeout pizza. The dough was very good, just the right thickness and soft/crispy inside and out. It rose well and was cooked well. The three flavors chosen were very good (mortadella, arugula, and pistachio; rigatino, truffle, and porcini; eggplant, scamorza, and pancetta), only the pancetta was a bit too soft/chewy and not crispy or well-cooked, so it wasn't particularly enjoyable. The only flaw we noticed is that there's a strong cooking smell inside, so I guess if you dine inside, your clothes will smell bad when you leave. Anyway, I'm very happy to say that the pizza has improved since my last experiences, which I wouldn't have returned to. I hope it was just a temporary thing, and now they're back to making good pizzas!!! 🙂

19/09/2025: Absolutely fantastic place, delicious pizza, incredibly sincere, charming and friendly masters, creating true masterpieces daily, while making people happy with all their food, with their genuine smiles. The total bliss, that any visitors and locals must experience as often as possible! I've ordered a couple of pizzas at a time and I've even ordered once 26 pizzas for my son's wedding. And each time it was a truly mind blowing result. Besides extensive and not at all expensive menu, those two virtuosos created phenomenal custom pizzas to my liking, and also improvised something I couldn't even imagine it can be so good. You just have to ask for that, and you shall be amazed. Guaranteed!! And I am making plans to indulge myself there again this year, regardless of many thousand miles that I have to fly to experience it once again. Beware, you may get addicted as well! ;-))

25/01/2026: A lovely surprise. Fantastic place, the restaurant used to be an old monastery. The vaults and ancient rooms remain, and there's a wonderful atmosphere. The dishes are generous and well-prepared, especially the fried fish, which was truly excellent. The bill was absolutely fair, in fact, I'd say slightly underpriced. We'll definitely be back.

12/01/2026: What can I say, the name is perfect. Osteria dei Poeti, and in the kitchen, they don't prepare "normal" dishes, but truly delicious poems. Naturally, the wait staff then serves them, explaining the lines and rhymes. Thanks guys, we ate really well: mixed bruschetta, artichokes alla Giudia and fried artichokes (delicious), ribollita, ravioli with bacon and onion, etc. (another delight), and spaghetti with prawns. As I say in these cases... a truly wonderful dinner!!!
