La Forchetta del Castello

Santa lucia del mela
26/08/2025: Very good restaurant. The food is very good and the portions are very generous. You can eat à la carte or choose a set menu. The access road is very steep and narrow. The restaurant is quite far from the village; only the castle, which is not really worth the detour, is nearby.
23/08/2025: An excellent gastronomic experience, with expertly prepared and abundant dishes, friendly and helpful staff, and a welcoming and peaceful atmosphere.

La Taberna

Santa lucia del mela
20/08/2025: Dinner with friends, friendly staff, excellent food, unfortunately we had to wait more than an hour and a half to be able to eat, I think that's a bit excessive
06/08/2025: I've been coming back for pizza here for several years when I'm in Sicily, and I have to say the quality is good. However, the biggest drawback of this place remains the wait times: often incredibly long. This evening, after I reported the problem, the opposite happened: they brought everything to us at once, resulting in us eating one course while the others were getting cold. In short, it seems there's no middle ground: either you wait hours, or they serve everything at once. We chose the Innovative tasting menu, €36 for two (plus cover charge). Honestly, it didn't convince us: five mini-pizzas, good but not much different from the classic ones, and a price that seemed excessive for the overall experience. The service was also a sore point: the waitress who served us was rather rude. In the end, we spent €49 in total, including a small, single-serving cassata that was extremely dry and not very fresh, and a bottle of water. All things considered, it wasn't worth it.
