26/04/2025: After a short search here on Google we were convinced after reading the reviews. Never was a happier choice. Mussels peppered, fish and traditional caponata, Palermo-style octopus, which is immediately noticeable if it isn't excellent, seared tuna. Everything, but I mean everything, truly wonderful. My table companions also greatly appreciated the Grillo wine. Modern location, absolutely clean and owners and staff extremely professional and very friendly. If you pass in the area you have a sure reference.

18/04/2025: They have been open since 1960. In a tiny place they only make pizzas with very simple and traditional recipes. Perhaps this is the key to success. On busy days there is a queue outside. People who come from outside on purpose. A true institution in Porto Empedocle. Try both specialties, the margherita and the one with sardines. Very good. Fast and friendly staff. A must of Argentine street food. Recommended.

16/05/2025: Excellent pizzeria. Imaginative and varied menu, highly recommended, the pizza paesana. Large restaurant that in the summer offers the possibility of eating outside in a well-kept and illuminated space with a large and characteristic olive tree in the center. Friendly staff. Excellent wine selection, delicious desserts.

11/05/2025: Il locale è bello, con giardini curati e un’atmosfera piacevole a prima vista. Tuttavia, l’acustica è pessima: di sabato sera, con tanta gente, è praticamente impossibile parlare. Il rumore di fondo rende difficile godersi la serata in compagnia. Abbiamo ordinato diverse portate: la cucina non è male, la pizza è saporita anche se in alcuni punti il bordo risultava un po’ crudo. In generale, si mangia discretamente. Purtroppo, un episodio ci ha lasciati delusi. Avevamo ordinato una pizza divisa in due, con una metà senza formaggio, per un nostro amico allergico. Quando è arrivata, abbiamo fatto notare che era stato messo ugualmente e il cameriere l’ha riportata indietro. Abbiamo esplicitamente chiesto che venisse rifatta da zero, proprio per l’allergia. Invece, dopo 30 secondi, la pizza era già tornata: semplicemente avevano rimosso il formaggio. Un comportamento inaccettabile, oltre che rischioso per la salute. Abbiamo preferito evitare polemiche e il nostro amico ha rinunciato alla pizza, ma un episodio del genere, da solo, sarebbe da zero stelle. Essendo in vacanza e apprezzando il contesto, siamo stati benevoli con una valutazione di tre stelle. Ma sicuramente non torneremo di sabato, e invitiamo lo staff a prestare maggiore attenzione soprattutto quando si parla di allergie alimentari.

Beautiful location with a great view, comfortable rooms, abundant breakfast with a great variety of sweet and savory foods, during dinner you have the opportunity to taste delicious pizzas with an excellent dough and well seasoned I recommend the carbonara, the real and the bomb, in addition to many really good and well-priced dishes, in the pool I appreciated the very resistant deckchairs that do not embarrass those who have a certain weight like me☺️, I really recommend this structure maximum availability and kindness and care from all the staff I will continue to go ...

15/05/2025: A Hidden Gem of Sicilian Hospitality Staying at this authentic Sicilian family-run B&B was one of the most heartwarming and delicious travel experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like part of the family—warm smiles, genuine hospitality, and a sense of pride that radiated from every corner of the property. The rooms were charming, comfortable, and full of character, but the real highlight was the food. Breakfast had almost everything which was homemade, using fresh, homegrown ingredients from their land — such as olives, sundried tomatoes, roasted eggplants and zucchini, olive oil, etc. Each dish a love letter to Sicilian culinary tradition. They also had a feast of bread, cold cuts, cheeses, cookies, and pastries, etc. Every bite was rich in flavor and authenticity. What made the experience even more special was the passion the family poured into every detail, from the presentation of the meals to the stories shared. It didn’t feel like just a stay—it felt like being welcomed into someone’s home. Just a quick 20 minute drive to the valley of the temples or the Turkish steps. If you're looking to experience true Sicilian culture, cuisine, and hospitality, look no further. This B&B is a rare treasure that captures the soul of Sicily in the most delicious way possible.

27/04/2025: We called and booked a table for 11pm, which is absolutely uncommon and Massimo and his staff welcomed us and made us feel at home!!! A welcome that is difficult to find around!!! 20/04/2025: Hotel: no idea, we were only here to eat. Restaurant: Our experience was very sobering. First of all: we are obviously tourists, but we speak Italian fluently and very well. Tel. Table reserved, they said: no problem, there are still many tables available. When we arrived, no reservation found, we were given a table for 2 for 3 people (although other tables for 4 were free and remained free for a long time..). Place setting came at some point, dirty. Wine glasses were beyond dirty, disgusting. No smile from the waitress, no friendly word. Drinks were almost simply slammed on the table. Impression: tourists not welcome. There was only reluctant bread for the soup and whether you can call it a bread basket... (see photo). The main course only came after we were asked after about an hour what we would like for dessert... It's a shame that the service is so subpar, because the food/quality was surprisingly very, very good. Whether soup, pizza, pasta, house wine, everything was perfect. We won't be coming back (and we think the staff will be happy about it).

I am not used to exaggerating in my judgments: I am 57 years old, I think I have tasted enough pizzas around Italy to be able to say with a certain objectivity when I find a truly special one. Lo Scoglio di Santa Lucia is one of those very rare exceptions that deserve to be talked about. The pizza is simply extraordinary: perfect dough, impeccable cooking, fresh and quality ingredients that you can taste at the first bite. Not only technique, but also passion and care. I am rather rigid when it comes to reviews, but here there is nothing to object to. It is an experience that goes beyond a simple dinner: it is a small journey into the authentic flavors of our country. Sincere compliments to those who work with such dedication.

I have become a regular customer and even the takeaway reflects the same quality and attention to requests. Very efficient and always very kind staff. Super recommended.
