30/08/2025: A self-service restaurant offering excellent, traditional Valchiavenna dishes. The wood-fired pizzas are also truly delicious, paired with excellent draft beers. Perfect for a stop after hiking in the mountains. Also accessible by cable car. The August opening evenings with free transportation are a great idea.

24/10/2025: La Capriata is an excellent restaurant, with thoughtfully curated menus and wood-fired pizzas. We chose unusual dishes like smoked eel and confit veal cheek. The dishes are well presented, the food is excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The service is fast.
For lunch, the ground floor dining room is more pleasant, but for dinner, the attic room is perfect.
We will be back.
21/10/2025: Surrounded by the nature of Spluga, you can enjoy delicious dishes, including fish (unusual for the area). I love the tagliolini with blueberries.
It can be a bit crowded at times, but everyone is friendly and welcoming, and especially welcoming to pets.

24/08/2025: Yesterday at lunch I went into the restaurant to ask if they had seats and the lady behind the counter was very rude... I said good morning to her twice and she didn't even bother to reciprocate... I asked her again if they had seats and she whispered something that I honestly didn't understand... in the end I got tired and left... speechless...
07/08/2025: Ein wunderbarer Tag geht zu Ende. Die Wanderung von Val die Lei bis Madesimo ist und bleibt und in positiver Erinnerung. Gute Erfahrung in der Rifugio Chiavenna, Alpe Motta usw. Was wir jedoch bei Ihnen erlebt haben ist und bleibt für uns in sehr schlechter Erinnerung. So wir wir vom Kellner (gross/schwarzhaarig, rüppelhaft usw. ) bedient wurden grenzt an Arroganz, Frechheit usw. So etwas gehört nicht einmal in einen Schweinestall. So geht man nicht um mit Gästen, selbst wenn sie erst um 21.30 Uhr - scheinbar war die Küche schon aufgeräumt - ins Restaurant kommen. Pannacotta mit Schokolade anstatt Caramel, Mineral mit anstatt wie bestellt ohne. Ja, das war nur Pinuts. Aber so etwas unfreundliches gehört NICHT in den Service, der macht alles kaputt. Als ich nach seinem Namen gefragt habe hat er mir einen türkischen Vornamen gesagt, Seine Landessprache sei English. Das in Italien.
Bitte helfen Sie mit, dass Ihr Restaurant mit der guten PIzza überleben kann. Ich jedenfalls komme nie mehr nach Madesimo.
