12/01/2025: Mientras visitábamos Menaggio en enero nos resultó bastante difícil encontrar un restaurante italiano tradicional que no fuera una trampa para turistas y una fortuna para comida básica / menos que adecuada, especialmente que estaba abierto en temporada baja.
Después de pasar casi 1 hora de compras en los restaurantes abiertos, ¡no nos gustó el aspecto de ninguno! Nos encontramos con esta joya escondida en viaje asesor. Está por una calle lateral y fuera de los caminos trillados del ferry, por lo que no lo pasaría particularmente.
El restaurante solo está abierto arriba en temporada baja - pico (no está cerrado!). La pasta casera es absolutamente fantástica y muy sabrosa. Definitivamente ordenar el Prosecco. Precio razonable y una puntuación increíble en las aplicaciones de vino. Uno de los mejores que he probado.
El personal es tan amable (restaurante de propiedad familiar creo? ) que no se deje llevar por el interior peculiar. ¡No te decepcionarás! Éramos los únicos turistas que comían allí - los otros clientes parecían ser locales. ¡Esto dice mucho!

29/12/2024: It's a real shame that in this place some of the waiters aren't very kind, never a smile, never an apology etc.
This is after coming here at least 3 times and in all 3 times within 2 years the same thing happened to me. Beautiful view because it faces the lake and in summer you eat outdoors. The food is good, it's a shame about the education of the staff who I have also seen in other reviews say the same things as me. To be reviewed

23/08/2024: We had our bread and pastries from Il Fornaio for a week. Croissants, pizza margherita, focaccia, the big sourdough bread, small rolls and bigger ones… we liked them all. The staff speaks English, friendly and helpful.

24/10/2024: what a lovely little gem to have found during our stay in menaggio!!
we stumbled upon this bar and took it as a great sign that it seemed to be filled with locals to the town. the beer and wine was great, and the pizza was just what we needed after a long day of travelling to get to menaggio.
the only issue we had was a slight language barrier with our waitress, who maybe wasn’t used to seeing many tourists pop up in her bar, but we didn’t fault her for it at all - instead ourselves for not learning more italian!!
the experience felt so very authentic and warm, we got chatting to some locals who had lived in the town for decades. such a welcoming and unassuming little bar in a beautiful town.

22/08/2024: Abbiamo mangiato a pranzo un antipasto della casa con salumi di cervo, cinghiale e asino buonissimi, accompagnati da una giardiniera supersonica. Gli sciatt erano favolosi, come i pizzoccheri. Per i più pignoli i pizzoccheri che fanno sono con poco burro ma tanta verza e patate, spettacolari. Vino della casa direi buono. Super consigliabile.

31/08/2024: Service was really bad for the price we paid. We paid 180 euros for a sun bed on the pool expecting service, drinks and food next to the pool. We were surprised that you have to serve yourself to drinks only at the pool and eat at the restaurant. People were extremely rude and not used to dealing with customers properly. For that price point i would expect better service, food, convenience.
The pool was good and clean, no showers to use after the day pass. Very minimal

04/10/2024: En visite dans la région, nous nous sommes arrêtés juste pour prendre un plat en terrasse. Les clients sont trop proches les uns des autres. C'était simple et moyen, 50.00 € pour deux.
