03/06/2025: It was the first time I went there but I think that even though it's a bit far from home I'll go back for many reasons... everything was great

02/06/2025: Bad bad! We started with a series of cold appetizers that all had the same flavor: impossible to distinguish the cuttlefish from the octopus from the squid, I only considered the shrimp with parmesan flakes acceptable (which in fact were finished immediately!). Raw with very poor quality fish, the oysters, probably opened by a butcher, had dried up due to the bad opening and the swordfish arrived even half-frozen. We also received some cuttlefish with chickpeas, drowned in a kind of water (probably that of the chickpea can), some terrible fish balls and a fried food with the consistency of rubber, all to make up an appetizer that had already filled us up, but without satisfying us in terms of flavor. The first courses were perhaps even worse! We had paccheri with, perhaps, red shrimp, and I specify perhaps because the seafood flavor was absolutely not there, some decent but not outstanding fish ravioli, and the worst scampi cream risotto I have ever eaten in my life, which probably hadn't even seen the scampi with a telescope. Stunned by all this abominable food, I couldn't enjoy the second course, of which I only had the courage to taste the fish in a potato crust: decent, but badly served (the potatoes, instead of forming a crust, were completely detached from the fish). I then tried to make up for it with dessert, but it was like trying to put out a fire with gasoline! I ate a sort of tiramisu (God forgive me for having associated the term tiramisu with that abomination!) with pistachio, with half a ladyfinger not soaked and a pistachio cream that was faker than the fluorescent green one you find inside commercial croissants. Given that it has clearly eliminated quality by focusing everything on quantity, but I would like to point out that I know dozens of Asian restaurants with an "all you can eat" formula where the quality is dozens of times better and where you pay even less (since in the end they took 40 euros per person from us for a lunch that, the icing on the cake, made four fifths of my family sick to their stomachs). I have to give one star, and I'm sorry because the waiter and owner Leonardo was exquisitely nice, but that alone is not enough to lift a kitchen well below the dilapidation.

21/06/2025: The pizza is really good, as is the beer. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It's a shame that the owner added an extra item to the bill, we took one dish and he charged us two. We noticed it after we left. I recommend you check the bill before paying. I don't think I'll go back because I just can't stand dishonesty.

12/06/2025: A declaration of love… Since I’ve lived in Italy (now 14 years) I’ve tasted so many, so many. But then you get here, to La Gatta Mangiona, and you realize that everything you thought you knew about pizza needs to be rewritten. This isn’t just the best pizza I’ve ever eaten… it’s an emotion. An explosion of flavors that overwhelms you from the first bite, a dough so good that you want to eat it alone, a perfect balance between tradition and creativity. Each variation is a discovery, a pleasure that almost moves you. You find yourself closing your eyes while you eat, because the taste speaks directly to your heart. And then there are the supplì: crunchy, fragrant, rich. They’re not an appetizer, they’re a treat. Thanks to whoever created this place. You can feel that there’s love in every detail, in every choice. For me, La Gatta Mangiona has become a place of the soul. And every time I come back, it’s like coming home.

02/06/2025: Even though there is no table service, the staff was really very kind, professional and available for table service. The pinsa was very good, crispy and soft to the right point, and the ingredients were good. Unfortunately the place is small and has few tables.

28/05/2025: Buen servicio en la mesa. Muy buena comida a un precio razonable. Podemos recomendar la Pinsa. Las sillas son un poco incómodas.

12/05/2025: €15 for a simple pizza (a little burnt, not very good) and a bottle of still water. I'm really sorry, I've been to this place several times in recent years and I chose it above all for the quantity (of the first courses) and the low price. But on the menu I saw that the first courses have all increased in price (€10) and this is not good... that is, it won't make me come back, unfortunately. For the pizza even less, expensive and not good. IT'S NOT "ANDREA" LIKE IT USED TO BE!!! Too bad!

04/06/2025: The best restaurant I’ve been to in Rome! Compared to other places, the staff here were incredibly warm and friendly — they made us feel truly welcome. We were treated with such kindness and care. I haven’t tried the pizza yet, but the ravioli, risotto, and the vegetable soup were all absolutely delicious. Thank you for everything! Perfetto!

07/06/2025: A good restaurant that closes late. The staff are friendly Italians. We ordered a Margherita pizza, which was less than average. I ordered pasta sherbet, which was also average. The rest of the dishes were good, and they had roasted potatoes that were excellent. Everyone should try them.

27/06/2025: Best restaurant I've been to in Italy!

25/06/2025: It has changed in recent years, unfortunately for the worse. First of all the staff starting with the reception and ending with the waiter, secondly the food. Thin pizza and some would say Roman style... as well as their signature dish, pizzottelle! A few years ago they were soft and well stuffed, now they are hard and not very stuffed. I hope I happened to be on the chef's bad day... Ps: I returned with the family, the children were hungry, so I stopped in passing... 6:50 pm... refused entry because the kitchen would open at 7:00 pm... no comment!

15/06/2025: Very welcoming staff, even though we hadn't booked and there were many people waiting, they managed to seat us quickly. Good food. Francesco took care of us, paying particular attention to the different dishes requested. We'll be back 😊
