12/07/2026: Evening at Borgo, a restaurant we've read interesting things about that deserve further investigation. Saturday night. We made a reservation for four people at 9:30 PM. We arrived ten minutes early and, after informing one of the waiters of our arrival, we calmly waited for our assigned table to become available. Meanwhile, six locals arrived and, rudely and blatantly, asked a waiter to find them a table, even though they hadn't made a reservation. And, of course, they were given a table. And, of course, they sat down before us. After pointing this out to the owners, they attempted to make excuses, saying that the aforementioned gentlemen had made a reservation. After realizing we weren't born yesterday, they apologized. Not that being provincial is a fault, but it's something that defines you. If you want to elevate yourself and aspire to a "different" dimension, these are attitudes and behaviors that need to be eliminated. There's still a long way to go... As for dinner, we opted for four sandwiches (al borgo, two casareccio, and one with mortadella), which, unfortunately, fell short of our expectations. It's certainly due to our limited culinary skills. Many small details, including the service, could be greatly improved; the waiter, for example, didn't ask us how we'd like our burger cooked. Furthermore, we waited almost an hour for our dishes. After the sandwiches, we ordered two pizzas (margherita and mafariello), which, upon first bite, had a slight bitterness, perhaps due to an oven that wasn't perfectly clean. It's a shame, because the pizza itself is a good product, made with and with quality ingredients. I don't know, in all honesty, if our dinner was influenced by what happened earlier in the evening. I don't think so. A bad evening in the kitchen can certainly happen, especially given the relatively late hour at which we dined. Maybe a certain weariness has set in, who knows. The fact is that, as far as I'm concerned, I certainly won't be curious to find out more about it in the future. A question of provincialism...
20/06/2026: I'm back at this pizzeria for the second time and can only confirm my excellent initial impression. The pizza is truly superb, both for the lightness and quality of the dough and the refinement and deliciousness of the toppings. This evening, in particular, we tried the "Nocina": a real discovery, absolutely spectacular! The outdoor location is also noteworthy, truly charming and perfect for enjoying the evening. The fried foods could be slightly improved, although they're still good, but with a little more oomph they'd be on par with the pizzas. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommended!
