27/10/2024: Very pleasant surprise! Too bad we found ourselves eating out the day before our departure. Quality and very generous service and food. We ate for 4 people (a starter for 2 and 2 pizzas, 2 pasta dishes and 3 desserts + 4 drinks) and we paid €78. Which is more than reasonable. I highly recommend. Thanks to the whole team.

25/10/2024: Great food! Portions are deliciously large. During the season, the restaurant is only open from Thursday to Sunday. Unfortunately, we discovered it too late, but enjoyed it 2 evenings in a row: pasta carbonara, Mediterranean, fichi di indi, grilled pork cutlet. We were served tomato and onion salad with delicious focaccia. I really recommend it!

27/01/2025: Warm room even in winter. Lots of parking (for a fee) in front of the hotel. Abundant and varied buffet breakfast. Renovated and clean room. 5 minutes from the center and practically on the beach. Very kind staff. Advised

14/01/2025: Maximum marks for a pleasant surprise in Vibo Valentia. Too bad it's not advertised as it deserves... EXTRAORDINARY pizza... especially fried foods and TOP arancini not to mention the desserts. SUPER service In practice there are no weak points. I repeat, it's a shame as it isn't advertised as it deserves.

29/12/2024: Ambiente molto carino, servizio veloce ma non siamo rimaste soddisfatte della pizza , praticamente è arrivata fredda . L’impressione è che tengano le basi già pronte e poi vengono riempite con gli ingredienti e portate al tavolo.

20/10/2024: He estado frecuentando este maravilloso lugar en la costa durante muchos años y fue maravilloso escuchar que Floriana estaba en la cocina. La comida que sirve es simplemente maravillosa. Verduras a la parrilla, spaghetti vongele, pastas de marisco. todo tiene un sabor maravilloso. Personal atento y tan relajante en las tumbonas. Buena selección de bebidas, snacks y pizzas.

17/01/2025: Siamo stati a Pizzo per una tappa intermedia in viaggio da nord verso la Sicilia - il 23 dicembre - e abbiamo prenotato il ristorante un'ora prima dall'autostrada. Il locale si trova in una palazzina storica davanti al mare, è molto ben arredato e ciò che ci ha subito colpiti sono state le volte antiche sui soffitti, fatte con quelli che sembrano fondi di anfore: si entra in un'atmosfera accogliente ed ordinata, ben sonorizzata, con lo spazio corretto tra i tavoli. Abbiamo due cani (di cui una anziana), quindi per poter stare comodi - e alla giusta distanza dagli altri commensali - ci hanno fatti accomodare in un punto riparato accanto al banco del bar, confortevole sia per noi che per i nostri amici a quattro zampe. A pranzo abbiamo preso involtini di polpo con pomodorini e capperi (un sapore veramente molto interessante), un piatto di crudi di pesce perfetto (tra tutti, i gamberi rossi di Mazara e le ostriche erano eccezionali) e una frittura mista di pesce croccante e molto abbondante. Il tutto accompagnato da uno Zibibbo calabrese orange (cantina Benvenuto, €25) molto elegante, buonissimo. Caffè e amaro (locale, squisito) sono stati offerti, prezzo €100: a nostro giudizio assolutamente corretto. Così, considerato che ci saremmo alzati prima dell'alba per ripartire verso lo Stretto e che il ristorante era vicinissimo da raggiungere dal nostro b&b, abbiamo deciso di tornare a cena, sia per la gentilezza dello staff - durante un viaggio fa piacere sentirsi ben accolti - che per provare qualche altro piatto; per restare leggeri, abbiamo preso i turbanti di spigola (freschissimi), altre due ostriche e un tagliere misto di terra, tutto perfetto, con una bottiglia di bianco e l'immancabile amaro locale (nettamente migliore dei blasonati amari industriali che vanno di moda): €75. Torneremo sicuramente a La Ruota: le porzioni sono piacevolmente generose e il rapporto qualità/prezzo nettamente equilibrato, il servizio è impeccabile e l'accoglienza - cosa mai scontata quando si è in viaggio - fa la differenza.

14/01/2025: Sono stato a cena con mia moglie settimana scorsa. Che dire? Sempre una certezza. Abbiamo optato per degli antipasti della casa buonissimi e due secondi di carne. La carne cotta perfettamente e di ottima qualità. Stra consigliato anche per la pizza

04/02/2025: Sono stato recentemente in questo ristorante e devo dire che l'esperienza è stata eccezionale sotto ogni aspetto. Prima di tutto, l'accoglienza è stata molto calorosa a partire dal cameriere antonio simpaticissimo che ci accoglie sempre calorosamente e il personale si è dimostrato professionale e attento. sono stato in questo ristorante con la mia famiglia abbiamo mangiato benissimo. Ci siamo presi come antipasto il capriccio di mare tutta a base di pesce e devo dire che era spettacolare come primo ci siamo presi lo spaghettone con la crema di melanzana e taralli sbriciolati sopra tutto eccezionale, davvero ci ritornerò sicuramente.

02/01/2025: Not recommended! After spending 10 min on choosing our meals from menu and making decision, waiter came and said that pizza is not available (he could do it at the beginning). But they do it by purpose (he did the same thing to other clients next to us). After ordering pastas, a few minutes later waiter came and asked if cook can change type of our pastas... Food was below average and didn't contain specific ingredients indicated in menu. (Again, clients next to us also asked where is main ingredient in their meal!). Price way tooooo high compering to service and food.

21/12/2024: Excellent service, delicious coffee and good cornets. We ordered 2 with some cappuccinos and then they invited us 2 more freshly baked ones, the happiness was complete 🥰

12/10/2024: Great bar. Great view. Great pot holder as a souvenir.
