02/08/2025: Arriving late at our vacation spot and a bit tired from the trip, we followed our host's advice and went to dinner at Gli Scugnizzi. We sat on the terrace and ate really well (and in abundance)! The mixed fried fish was tasty, and my son loved the dessert: a cassatina, which he'd never tried before. The welcome was warm, the atmosphere relaxed, and the price reasonable. A good choice for a good dinner!
29/07/2025: We were referred here by a kind gentleman (owner?) from Zimbo Osteria Pizzeria on a Sunday afternoon after driving to several different pizzerias. Pizzas were not available at Zimbo on Sundays but their seafood smelled delicious as we were leaving. The food at Gil Scugnizzi (Margherita pizza, Stracciatella pizza, 4 Stagioni pizza, & linguine ai frutti di mare) was one of the best we’ve eaten on our short trip to Italy. The service was fantastic with a smile and the bright and cheery atmosphere was welcoming. We would love to come back.

08/08/2025: Let me start by saying I'm only reviewing the restaurant. I'd like to be great, but I can't. It pretends to be a high-end restaurant with a low-quality, banal offering and inattentive, imprecise service. All talk and no action. I won't be returning.

26/08/2025: Very good quality and quantity. We had the set menu and I had the à la carte. The dessert, a chocolate volcano, was delicious. Perfect service.
17/04/2025: A place I frequented about 8 years ago, the food was good, it was expensive but it was worth it.. but now I was very disappointed.. Very gloomy entrance, very "basic" set tables. I ordered chickpea humus with steamed prawns as an appetizer, the flavor wasn't bad but it wasn't a humus, it was a simple puree of chickpeas, the bad thing was the presentation... the prawns were mixed with the cream and looked unappealing. First I ordered the maccheroncini with pistachio pesto with squid and clams and I received lilies with unmixed pesto oil with cheap clams and tufts of tasteless squid, pasta clearly already prepared and reheated, I refused to eat it, it was horrible. They justified themselves by blaming the pasta they get from another pasta factory and I don't know but I prefer to remain in doubt. He says that now they have put maccheroncini and now even if they are lilies they have decided to leave maccheroncini... well... let's move on to the second... cod in a crust with poppy seeds and pure potatoes I received 3 fillets without crust but with poppy seeds they were full of hard and salty bones they had not been soaked enough a dish that overall could have been saved but the chef decided to sacrifice it too... side dish of fried artichokes and they are also season but no frozen artichoke hearts with a poor batter they were hard and tasteless I left half the cod and artichokes.. chocolate vulcanello dessert could have been done better but let's save it.. my husband ate everything very against his stomach he doesn't like to leave stuff on the plate but the octopus with artichokes was missing the lemon in fact they turned black the spaghetti was hard the frozen tuna too the artichokes and then we get to his dessert.. the tiramisu.. if I order a tiramisu I expect a tiramisu with Ladyfingers soaked in coffee covered with mascarpone cream made with fresh eggs and instead a plate arrived with a cup of coffee 5 pavesini on the side and a small bowl with cream and cocoa.. prices halved compared to years ago so the quality no longer exists.. all silly without salt big mistake because a chef must taste he must know what he puts on the table. they were honest because they didn't charge for my first one but I didn't send them back the rest just out of politeness. I will never return again. We didn't even like the coffee. Of the whole dinner the wine was saved, a Borgheri Vermentino just because I cook them, luckily I didn't have a hand in it.

14/08/2025: Normal atmosphere, nothing special. Small pizzeria with a few tables inside, plus a few outside. We tried the calzone and fried fish, both excellent. The fried fish in particular is recommended because it's dry and crispy, and very few pizzerias can do it like this. For dessert, the classic BABÀ was a must, where you can truly taste the flavor of Naples. The only downside is the price (too high), but they did offer limoncello (traditionally made). The pizzeria is recommended.
