15/09/2024: The Ai Confini restaurant, located directly on the golf course in Tarvisio, is truly a culinary gem!
Here, good, honest cuisine with regional products is offered on a manageable menu.
The number of tables is limited, so it is absolutely recommended to make a table reservation.
The price-performance ratio is great!
Of course, Italian is spoken, but also Slovenian, German and English.
Anyone who can't resist the temptation to divide several dishes onto two plates will be generously rewarded with this option at no extra charge.
This means you can enjoy several starters together.
The drinks menu is very remarkable and includes all of Italy, a few French and all at really moderate prices.
We would be happy to come back here next time and be very hungry.
The fifth star for the kitchen in the rating comes about because the frequency of strawberry crumble on many dishes was not necessarily appropriate due to the acidity... but that shouldn't detract from the overall impression... 👍 🤗

06/12/2024: Let me start by saying that the place is very nice. For years it has been my point of reference when I am in Tarvisio. However, since my last visit it must have changed management, which is a real shame.
Very rude and unwelcoming staff, a lot of disorganization. We waited more than an hour and when the pasta arrived it was decidedly raw (we ate it out of hunger and desperation because we couldn't take it anymore), plated like in any trattoria, but paid at restaurant prices for a very banal pasta with ragù!
The prices are decidedly expensive for what is offered and how it is offered.
The lady at the checkout seemed very kind, I invite you to improve these aspects because you have a place that has potential, but at the current level I do not recommend it.
01/12/2024: Not recommended place for all areas, both for the environment and especially for the service! We arrived at 1.30pm, they made us sit, we ordered with a rather questionable waiter, despite this the worst thing was they made us wait AN HOUR AND A QUARTER for lunch, which never arrived! Then we got up to leave and they didn't even bother with all this!!
(It felt like an episode of nightmare kitchens). Bad experience, I won't go back.
