This statement, in the writer's opinion, constitutes conduct that can be classified as discriminatory on racial and ethnic grounds, pursuant to: art. 43 of Legislative Decree 286/1998 (Consolidated Immigration Act), which expressly defines as discriminatory any behavior that prevents access to places open to the public based on race, ethnic origin, or skin color; Law No. 654 of October 13, 1975 (the so-called Mancino Law), which criminalizes propaganda and incitement based on racial motives; Legislative Decree 215/2003, implementing European Directive 2000/43/EC, on equal treatment between persons regardless of race or ethnic origin. Obstructive Conduct by the Employee Following the aforementioned statement, the undersigned repeatedly and in a completely cooperative manner requested the bouncer's personal details in order to proceed with the appropriate proceedings. The employee systematically refused to provide his name, thus impeding the exercise of the legitimate right of defense and reporting. He was also asked to speak with a manager or superior present in the facility. This request was also ignored. The Attempted Influence At a later point, presumably sensing my determination not to ignore the matter, the bouncer changed his attitude and said: "Okay, guys, I'll let you in—get your loyalty card on Monday." It is important to emphasize that this offer cannot in any way be interpreted as a good-faith act of reparation. On the contrary, it appears to be intended to persuade the injured parties to ignore the matter, obtaining silence in exchange for access to the premises. When asked again to provide his personal details, the employee simply replied: "I'm letting you in," implicitly confirming his desire to close the matter without assuming responsibility. Conclusions This review serves solely as public documentation of the facts that occurred.
