Hotel Restaurant Gstör, Mexicos & Pizzeria

16/06/2025: After a break of several years in South Tyrol, we returned to Gstör (Palmengarten) because we always enjoyed it. The prices were okay. But...it felt like time had stood still, just because of the decor in the Palmengarten. Sitting at the tables is still incredibly uncomfortable because the table is always in the way. The food...the burger was okay. The cream schnitzel was much too thin for a pork schnitzel, resembling a minute steak, with zero flavor. Simply dry and tough. The fries and cream sauce were great. The salad was basic. Literally. The dressing could have been better, both in terms of quantity and flavor. Since I left 70% of the schnitzel unfinished, they probably didn't ask if we enjoyed it. I would have preferred to pay more and leave satisfied.
We won't be coming again.
12/06/2025: We didn't eat at the hotel, but ate at the Palmengarten. The ambiance was fantastic, the food was delicious 😋, and the service was very good. We had a lovely evening 👍🏻

We had dinner trying the ribs.....
Unfortunately we were not satisfied
Abundant portions, but unfortunately the meat was not very well cooked, tough and not very tasty
Perhaps the cooking done at a low temperature was wrong
Instead, at the sight I was very impressed by the pizzas that were served at the nearby table, but we did not eat them
Honest prices, lower than the average of the places in the area
Good service, attentive, kind and friendly....
12/06/2025: Enjoyed a meal out, my side didnt appear for ages, and the food was a bit bland, but that may have been a poor choice by me. Staff were freindly and the place was busy, over all would reccomend.

05/07/2025: Quick service, polite but not particularly "hot", excellent trio of dumplings, soft and tasty. Reasonable prices (43€ for two for two dumplings, two drinks and a coffee).
03/07/2025: Very nice restaurant with friendly service and good food. We'd gladly go back.
