La Taverna Dell'Etrusco

08/12/2025: After a three-week vacation in Asia, before returning to Sardinia we decided to take a tour of Umbria, starting in Orvieto. On Sunday, December 7th, while wandering around the city, we came across this little taverna, and even though we hadn't booked, they welcomed us right away. What can I say? Our first Italian meal in many days. We loved it. We had a cured meats appetizer, tagliatelle with wild boar, pasta carbonara, and finally tiramisu.
We can't complain. The prices are fair and average.
23/10/2025: Unfortunately, the food wasn't that good; it seemed more like it had been thawed and reheated (ready meals), and the house wine was a bit acidic and too warm.
The ambiance was fine, but perhaps they could try to improve the quality of the food a bit.

02/01/2025: Unica nota positiva il personale piacevole e carino. Per ilresto non so come abbia un punteggio così alto . Inspiegabile. Antipasti insipidi considerata la cucina umbra sapido. Sono entrato per mangiare il famoso piccione all'orvietana e mi sono ritrovato un piccione bollito e immerso jn una salsa rossa che tutto aveva tranne che essere una riduzione di vino. Peccato davvero
28/12/2024: I bambini avevano fame, così siamo entrati, per così dire, nel primo ristorante che ci è capitato. Anche se avevo notato velocemente che le recensioni segnavano 4,5 stelle, non riesco davvero a capire come si possa attribuire una valutazione così alta a un locale del genere. Lo stile è fermo agli anni Ottanta, il servizio è scadente e le porzioni sono ridicole. Abbiamo speso 120 euro per mangiare praticamente il nulla: un antipasto pessimo e indecente. In conclusione, evitatelo assolutamente. È un posto in cui non tornerei nemmeno gratis.

07/03/2025: Es gehört einfach zusammen: Kunst und gutes Essen, dazu ein Wein zum Niederknien. Nicht nur, dass Michele ein wunderbarer Gastgeber ist sondern auch ein begnadeter Künstler. Er setzt sich sowohl mit dem Material auseinander, das von Terracotta bis Metall reicht, als auch mit der Bearbeitung. Dabei greift er auch auf tausende Jahre alte etruskische Handwerkskunst zurück, um sein Material zu schwärzen. Von den Firmen und vielseitige Ideen ganz abgesehen. Und so geht man im Bauch und Kopf satt wieder nach Hause und ist erfüllt mit dem Erlebten. Ich wünsche Michele viel Erfolg mit seinem Laden.

01/07/2024: Ci siamo recati a pranzo in questo bellissimo resort immerso nelle colline umbre. Cibo ottimo, personale accogliente e simpatico, location curata nei minimi particolari. Esperienza che consigliamo e che ripeteremo sicuramente.
