06/02/2026: Since this amazing restaurant is located one street away from the sea.. it’s easy to miss it. And that would be a big mistake! La Fascina is very popular so booking a table in advance is a good idea. Their Gran Crudo was probably the best I had in Lido while my beautiful wife enjoyed the Dolci. We had a great time. Grazie!

14/11/2025: The most beautiful place in the world, where you feel at home. Located on a panoramic hill just a minute from the center of Capezzano Pianore, in summer you can fully enjoy the garden surrounded by nature. The food and service are top-notch, and the owner makes you feel at home. There's nothing better in the area.

14/12/2025: The food we ordered was little and very poorly cooked (yellowtail cod), appetizers (fried pasta, salami, and ham), still a pittance for fifteen adults. The waiter who served us was very annoyed, perhaps because there were twelve slightly agitated small children. At the end of the meal, I asked for a container to take away two pieces of dessert that were left over on two small plates, and he brought me a container that was not up to hygienic standards. What do you want me to say? I spent 35.00 euros.

01/01/2026: On the last day of the year, I cycled from Viareggio to Forte dei Marmi. I stopped at this unfamiliar pastry shop along the seafront for a coffee. I noticed a mini cream-filled bombolone, which I eagerly took out to try. Absolutely excellent; I loved the unusual, slightly crunchy pastry and the sublime cream. The coffee was also good. It will be one of my future favorite pastry shops in Versilia. Highly recommended.

28/12/2025: We had breakfast at Baroni: the croissants were good, but the cappuccinos lacked coffee. Unfortunately, the experience was ruined by the attitude of the staff (especially the waitress), who were unfriendly. The owner wasn't particularly friendly either, giving the impression of being pressed for money. It's a shame, because a little more courtesy would have made the place truly pleasant.

22/12/2025: Chiosco nel Bosco is a beautiful little restaurant, perched above Casoli. Friendly staff, good food, fair prices. The chubby cat is wonderful. The house specialty is tordelli lucchesi. This time I had the cod with leeks: absolutely delicious! It was baked, not fried, not soaked in oil...in short, absolutely delicious!

09/08/2025: The place is nice, but there's no advertised view, absolutely not. Perhaps only from one table can you glimpse something with binoculars... Around the tables outside, there's only scrub, bushes, and very tall grass that hasn't been cut in years; that's the view you'll have. On the other side, you'll have the road. The menu is extremely limited, with little choice among fairly banal dishes on a menu that's tourist-friendly and lacks any bells and whistles, even if they're adequately prepared by the chefs. Family-style service. Reasonable prices. The idea of blankets available for those eating outside to protect themselves from the chill is a nice one, but if you go in the summer, bring a jacket anyway.

02/01/2026: Dinner on December 31, 2025 - New Year's Eve - The menu was excellent, both in terms of ingredients and preparation, and in terms of quantity, which would have been too heavy. The atmosphere was well-designed, and the staff was friendly and prompt. Often, even reputable restaurants drop in quality for New Year's Eve dinners, but not in this case. No deposit was required, which requires a special trip. The price included music and dancing, which was in line with the market. The only downside was the first half hour after midnight, when the music was inappropriate for the event, resulting in a lack of dancing; this was made up for later. It's nice to see that the owner, after 50 years or more in business, is still working in the kitchen.

12/01/2026: So-so food and service, no one knows whose fault... we ordered two teas and they only gave us one teapot. We asked for another teapot, but they didn't serve it with lemon. We asked for lemon, and waited 15 minutes. We had ordered a small plate of mixed dry biscuits, and they brought us seven small, identical biscuits. We ordered a macchiato and a Decathlon macchiato, and when they served us, they couldn't tell which was the Decathlon and which was the regular coffee. We ordered two aperitifs and they brought us two squares of onion omelette, two dried-up baked chicken wings, two tubs of mayonnaise, and I don't know what else mixed together, along with a rather dry and cold bread tart, a small glass of dry taralli, and two meatballs, perhaps made of mozzarella, but the whole thing was unsightly and inedible. Then, without any explanation of what they brought us, and without asking if we were allergic to anything, they served us a hot chocolate with fairly warm cream. All for the price of 36 euros. Normal, but the service and food aren't up to par. Not to mention the "gross" bathrooms, which are unclean, and you end up getting your shoes wet. Then you sit in the dining room with rugs under the tables that smelled bad, and who knows how often they clean them. Unfortunately, it's a place I won't return to. Sorry, but not worth trying; there are better options.

12/10/2025: A good, historic pizzeria-restaurant in Lido di Camaiore. A simple place with a lovely summer garden and a modest interior. The prices are moderately high for a pizzeria, perhaps reasonable for a seafood restaurant.
