14/07/2025: We booked a night at the Hotel Gran Paradiso with half-board service, as described in the booking confirmation:
"Half-board includes:
• Three-course dinner (drinks not included) at our *Ristorante Vineria Sale e Pepe*"
Our dinner experience at this restaurant was as follows.
The food didn't live up to expectations based on the descriptions on the website and the menu prices.
The half-board service was completely unclear (the booking generically indicated three courses); only when ordering dinner were we told we could order a first course, a second course, and a dessert per person. Furthermore, we were told that there was a supplement for the courses marked with an asterisk, but we weren't told how much.
At the end of the meal, we ordered two digestives from the menu (at €5 each), and we needed two different ones because the ones on the menu weren't available! Given the infinitesimal quantity of digestives, we didn't order another.
The next morning, upon checking out, we discovered the pleasant surprise of the bill. In particular, the €10 supplement for the two first courses (the price of the tonnarelli listed on the receipt reflects this supplement; just compare with the menu price). The even better surprise was the €12 charge for each of the three digestives (when the menu price was €5).
What can I say!!!! A complete lack of clarity and information that undermines the professionalism of the service provided.

30/06/2025: Wonderful place in a very pleasant and relaxing environment, very good food and very kind and helpful staff, the rooms for overnight stays are very large in a quiet area 100 meters from the restaurant, overlooking the garden, possibility of visiting animals, in the back that looks towards the hills. Excellent value for money. Recommended 100%

13/07/2025: Very hospitable and friendly staff. We arrived at closing time and were very kindly served. First-class cuisine. We highly recommend the linguine, zucchini, pomoderini, and shrimp, and the pizza.
12/07/2025: I stayed here several years ago, and the new facility had just opened. It's showing its age a bit now; for example, my room was missing a hair dryer. The soap dispensers were both empty and almost empty. The cleanliness was a bit superficial. I dropped the aluminum seal from my toothpaste, which I purposely didn't pick up, and found it under the bed. The location is excellent. There's an attached restaurant with a tourist and à la carte menu.

A true Italian-style cafe with quality products and friendly, professional service.
30/05/2025: They have wonderful Pralines, a dozen types, my favorites, coffee, and almond cream... Then as many if not more pastries with cream and chocolate, cream cannoli, etc. etc. Also the coffees, cappuccinos, lattes - macchiatos are really excellent. And at reasonable prices. They also sell tickets for the 'circular', and for Foggia etc. Very kind and professional service. In my opinion, the best - also for refinement - Café in the city and surroundings. *************
Now, towards the summer, you can find various types of ice cream (instead of pralines...). Downstairs the self--service, which --the manager assures me -- gives complete lunches (or 1st or 2nd) at usual prices.

06/05/2025: Ottimo ristorante e camere pulitissime. Il personale è sempre disponibile con grande educazione e molto professionale. Eccellente cuoco proveniente dalla Campania. Prepara ottimi piatti con tanta esperienza.
02/05/2025: Abbiamo cenato con del buon pesce, ben cucinato e gustoso. Tra cui anche un delizioso entrèe offerto. La grigliata era davvero buona.
Ma il vero plus per me è stato il ragazzo in sala, attento e competente.

01/05/2025: Costi ingiustificati, un risotto agli scampi per la modica somma di 25 euro ma senza l' ombra di uno scampo, frittura cruda, antipasti sfiziosi, ma quantità minimal per il costo.
09/11/2024: Troviamo questo posto per caso e ne veniamo piacevolmente attratti, già la struttura dall'esterno si presenta signorile. Veniamo accolti con gentilezza anche senza prenotazione. Personale cordiale e attento alla clientela. Svariate le proposte nel menù ma abbiamo voglia di pizza. Ottimo l'impasto e la proposta di ingredienti combinati sulle pizze. Ottima cucina e servizio eccellente.
