Excellent service, very friendly, well-trained staff!
18/05/2025: A very nice hotel (18 rooms) with an attached restaurant.
A lovely garden with small seating areas, enclosed with plants, invites you to linger.
Your car is parked in a private space in the underground garage of the neighboring supermarket.

05/07/2025: Pretty good food, but the service seems a bit bored and grumpy. The ambiance is very nice.
05/07/2025: Stopped by for lunch on a quiet day. Prompt and polite service. Excellent location and little away from the cluster of restaurants by the port.
The mixed salad and main course were high quality. Prices are very fair for the quality. Nothing to dislike. Will visit again.

22/06/2025: A top address in a prime location. We received friendly service, and the food and service were excellent.
15/06/2025: I've had some very nice meals here in the past, but today's experience was rather disappointing. We seem to have made the mistake of choosing the menu. Each of the 3 courses was very small, about half the size of the same dishes when ordered a la carte. Also, the quality of some of the ingredients used left something to be desired. The cut of meat used for the tartar wasn't great, and the panna cotta was seemingly made with vanilla paste with vanillin flavouring instead of real vanilla. I think for the quite high prices one can expect better quality.
The service, sadly, wasn't up to scratch either. We had one set of cutlery for the 3 courses. After the starter my knife was covered in egg yolk from the tartar, so I left it on the plate, expecting it to be replaced. The waiter took it off the plate and placed it back on the table.
It remains to be said that the setting of the Grotto Sant'Anna is very nice indeed.

01/05/2025: Un luogo tranquillo ma elegante, ordinato e silenzioso immerso nel verde di un fondo valle a pochi minuti da Cannobio.
Diciamo che la cucina eccelle per i raffinati sapori che lascia al palato veramente ben elaborati dagli chef.
Il vinello che ci hanno proposto è stato uno spettacolo, uno Schiava del Trentino, buono e fruttato.
Il prezzo vale quello che si mangia.
La qualità è sicuramente nei loro obiettivi per soddisfare il cliente.

Proprietari entrambi super cuochi.
Assolutamente da provare.
Pasta, gelato, pane ...fatti in casa.

31/03/2025: Das Essen im Pontile war so ausgezeichnet, dass wir gleich 3 Mal dort zu Abend gegessen haben. Die Bedienung war äusserst freundlich, speditiv und sehr kompetent. Die Speisen waren äusserst lecker, ansprechend zubereitet und angerichtet und zu sehr moderaten Preisen. Wir können das Pontile nur empfehlen.

25/06/2025: Unfortunately a big disappointment.
I ordered a pizza and from the first bite it was clear that the base was not made at the moment, but prepared in advance or even pre-cooked, light years away from a real artisanal pizza.
No indication on the menu that indicated the use of ready-made bases, which seems to me a serious lack of transparency towards customers. When you go to a restaurant, you expect quality and honesty, especially on something as simple as a pizza.
I will not return.
25/06/2025: Went for dinner. Prompt, friendly service. Drinks were very good. We had several different Spritz drinks. The food was also very good. Everything was beautifully presented. Everything arrived at the same time. Perfect. We'll be back. Must try the beef fillet.

24/04/2025: Gezellig en knus restaurant en heerlijk gegeten. Guiseppe was een zeer gezellige en lieve gastheer die het ons naar de zin wilde maken. Perfecte avond om de verjaardag van mijn moeder te vieren.
31/03/2025: Freundliche und schnelle Bedienung. Gute Pizzen und ansprechende Teigwaren-Gerichte. Wenn man in Eile ist und trotzdem gut essen möchte, der richtige Ort. Wir können das Ristorante AD nur empfehlen

04/10/2024: Ein grosses Plus ist die ganztags warme Küche! Grosse Auswahl, Qualität ansprechend.
Leider dauert der Service sehr lange…
25/08/2024: Leider eine absolute Katastrophe. Wir hatten Fischfilet und Entrecote bestellt.
Das Fischfilet war voller Gräten und in Soße ertränkt. Es schmeckte fade.
Das Entrecote wurde medium bestellt und kam roh! Nach der Reklamation wurde das Fleisch durchgebraten zurück an den Tisch gebracht.
Ein Steak Medium braten zu können, sollte zur Mindestanforderung eines Kochs gehören.
Aus unserer Sicht eine Touristenfalle mit schönem Ausblick auf der Lago Maggiore.
