11/05/2025: This is absolutely horrible and unfair experience. My dinner on May 9th, 2025, was a blatant rip-off. 18 euros for a "fried fish" dish that contained absolutely no fish! The waitress who served me lied to us. I asked what was inside the fried fish dish, and she said different kinds of fried fish. But when it came, it only had shrimp and small, broken squid. There was no fish at all. Then I asked her again. They said "Gambari fish" and "shrimp" are like calling it fish. But when I almost finished eating, there was still no other type of fish. I asked her one more time. She then said fried fish only has shrimp and squid. I asked how that's different from the seafood dish on the menu 15e and my food 18e( fried fish), and she lied again, saying seafood only has squid. But the menu has a separate dish for fried squid 15e. I knew she was trying to lie and cheat me. I had to pay 18 euros for food with no fish at all, just small bits of other things. This is not okay to treat customers like this. Warning: they charge 3 euros coperto just to eat at the restaurant, that's too much for a small place in a village. "To the restaurant, my comment which encourages you to improve the restaurant, however, you behaved negatively to customers. Thus, As a english speaker traveling to a non-english country, it's quite hard to communicate with the waiter. My suggestion is writing clearly all ingredients under the food name, so others will know what are inside and no need to ask waitress many times. Sincerely, your reply and attitude to customers like this won't make your restaurant better. "
11/05/2025: It's incredibly disappointing to see the owner respond with condescension rather than accountability. My friend clearly expressed that there was no fish in the “fried fish” dish — and instead of taking responsibility for the confusion, your response blames her English skills and deflects criticism by referencing menu wording and outdated photos from the internet. This has nothing to do with language. It’s about misleading presentation, poor communication, and an unwillingness to clarify when asked — multiple times. A customer asked simple questions, and your staff gave inconsistent and evasive answers. Instead of admitting any mistake or even showing understanding, you chose to lecture your guest and insult her intelligence. That says a lot more about your attitude than hers. Thankfully, not every customer of yours is treated this way — but unfortunately, we were. We’re not upset because of “coperto” or Italian customs. We’re upset because we were misled, talked down to, and disrespected — both in person and online.
