21/12/2025: We found this restaurant by chance while driving around on our rented scooter. It was late, almost closing time, but they welcomed us warmly and the food was exceptional. Home-style cooking, generous portions, and very welcoming staff.

01/03/2026: A very unique and welcoming place. The staff was incredibly friendly and professional, and the service was impeccable. Excellent cuisine. We had phenomenal house appetizers, bucatini and rabbit, excellent but quite light, not overly flavorful. They offered coffee and zeppole for everyone. Overall, one of the best restaurants in Forio. Congratulations! 👍

15/01/2026: Such calm, cozy and at the same time sophisticated atmosphere! The live piano music was a treat! Food was great, service also excellent, there is a small parking. We made a reservation and went with a scooter we have rented, as many on the island do, so it was easy to reach. Highly recommended restaurant!

27/01/2026: First of all the atmosphere of this restaurant is AMAZING!! On the beach and the owner was extremely polite and loving. The food was fresh and the wine was even better. HIGHLY recommend this place. Perfect way to end the long day at Capri with an oceanside dinner and being treated like royalty. We would absolutely return and recommend.

03/11/2025: A truly delightful spot, where you can practically have lunch with your feet in the water, bathed in sunshine and lulled by the gentle lapping of the waves. The welcome is incredibly warm, the cod fritters are exceptional, the seafood spaghetti is perfectly al dente and delicious, all accompanied by a very good bottle of local white wine (Frassitelli) – a truly unforgettable moment! And I haven't even mentioned the lemon dessert, which lives up to its name!

06/03/2026: March is extra season in Ischia but nevertheless it was a sunny beautiful day and La Tinaia was open for business as many other restaurants are closed for the season. Our table was on the terrace - food was very good, service a little bit long but understandable as all plates are made from scratch. We can say we have spend a beautiful afternoon on the terrace of this restaurant. Suitable for families as well as for couples and groups.

16/01/2026: Today we returned to La Tinaia for lunch. It was truly excellent—not just the food, but the service was also very friendly and attentive, and even our dog Massimo was given fresh water right away. We had mixed fried specialties and a seafood salad, followed by a perfectly cooked steak with fries. A true delight. We'll definitely be back, as we live nearby and it's not far. 19/09/2025: Gem of a restaurant! Probably the best meal we have enjoyed in Ischia and definitely the least expensive. If you want authentic Italian food prepared and served in a family-run restaurant, this is it! Plus it is close to a sandy beach. The lemon linguini, prawn risotto and zucchini flowers with ricotta were very special dishes. Six stars!!!!

17/03/2026: Incredible experience at Forio: We tried the lemon pasta, as well as the artichoke and cuttlefish pasta, and they were both amazing (cooked perfectly, just the right amount). The views are beautiful and the staff is friendly. Highly recommend pairing your meal with the house wine (which is also local).

25/11/2025: We got welcomed even if we got there in low season and without booking. The owners are super friendly and I love how the place is decorated. I ordered Ravioli with rabbit (outside the menu) and they were one of the best meals I had in Italy. Lovely place

22/09/2025: A true pearl of Ischia! At Trattoria da Peppina di Renato we finally felt we had found the real Italy. The atmosphere was a feast for the senses: authentic, steeped in history and tradition, with every detail in the décor arranged with taste and passion. Francesco, with his stories, guided us not only through the dishes but also through the soul of the island: its soil, its wines, and the deep roots of its cuisine. It felt as though we had been welcomed into the living memory of a family. The grandmother’s meatballs with pine nuts, in their rich tomato sauce, captured me from the very first bite. I truly felt as if they had been prepared by a nonna herself, with that love and patience only a grandmother can give. I can say, without exaggeration, that I had never tasted anything so delicious, so tender, so perfectly balanced. Then came the pasta with rabbit sauce and herbs. Wonderful! Followed by the traditional Ischian rabbit dish, which I had longed to try since arriving on the island. It was intensely aromatic, served with real, rustic fried potatoes. And yes, we followed Francesco’s advice: we even did "la scarpetta"!!! Dipping bread into the rabbit sauce was a revelation. We paired the meal with a local Biancolella, produced just a few houses up the hill: fresh, crisp, and mineral, with that volcanic rock note that gives Ischia its name as the "green island". The evening ended with two special digestifs. One was made of arugula, unique and vibrant, and the other was Piperna, a true spirit of the island. A must try! This was not just dinner, but a journey into tradition, authenticity, and warmth. Thank you from the heart for an unforgettable evening. We will carry this inspiration back to our own little Italian restaurant in Germany, and we hope to return soon, at least once more, to relive this magic.

12/09/2025: Wonderful evening. Professional and very helpful staff. Excellent food quality and absolutely reasonable prices. What more can I say... the tradition and history of Ischian cuisine with expertly combined reinterpretations. The place is beautiful and exudes joy with a hint of nostalgia... all accompanied by the greatest voice and guitar on the island of Ischia. Well done guys (did you give your lighter back?)
