Ristorante la Vecchia Botte

02/08/2025: I've been to La Vecchia Botte restaurant, and I can only call it one of the best culinary experiences I've ever had. The restaurant is welcoming and elegant, with a relaxing atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. The staff is extremely friendly, professional, and attentive to every detail, without ever being intrusive.
The real star, however, is the fish: incredibly fresh, expertly cooked, and served with impeccable presentation. We started with a selection of hot and cold appetizers that were a work of art, followed by a raw seafood dish that was indescribably fresh, and a second course of simply perfect first courses: flavorful, balanced, and impeccably cooked. Next, a tuna fillet with chocolate and cardamom reduction, surprising and beautifully balanced in flavor.
And to finish on a high note, a truly amazing extra virgin olive oil gelato: creamy, original, and surprisingly harmonious in flavor. A sweet finale that will amaze and captivate.
The wine list is also excellent, with select options that pair perfectly with the seafood dishes.
In short: if you love seafood (and more) and are looking for a restaurant where every detail is meticulously crafted, La Vecchia Botte is a must-visit.

Ristorante Pizzeria Piatto Matto

07/08/2025: This evening, on the recommendation of a colleague of my husband's, we dined at Il Piatto Matto. What can I say? It was a pleasant surprise. From the owner to the food, to the staff, the kindness, courtesy, and quality defined our evening.
The first courses were exquisite, as was the sliced steak, with fresh and flavorful ingredients.
Compliments to the chef.
We'll be back to try the pizza, which looked excellent.
09/05/2025: Carlo the waiter is very nice, we trusted him and got typical Calabrian food. Highly recommended for everyone.

26/07/2025: The food was quite good, the appetizers weren't too rich and not overly expensive.
The only problem we encountered was that during an appetizer, we were charged an additional €2 for a really questionable-sized plate containing 6 crumbled chips. Now, I'm not complaining about the price, but about the condition in which it was served. All in all, a good place on the seafront ⭐🏖️🪸
22/06/2025: Very nice place on the Siderno seafront. The owner is very kind and offers her specialties in a convincing way. Excellent food and staff up to par.

28/08/2023: La vera pizza. Una grande pizza. Siamo stati a cena in questo locale durante la nostra vacanza in Calabria. Consigliatissimo. La pizza eccellente, servizio velocissimo e cortese, prezzi ottimi.
12/08/2023: Ci ero stata 4 anni fa...Locale rinnovato ....ben arredato...pizze ottime...personale accogliente...prodotti eccellenti...non ha la vista mare ma sicuramente merita!
