08/12/2025: After reading some excellent reviews, we came for lunch on a Saturday. The owner doesn't explain the menu because he's the one jokingly suggesting the dishes. Unfortunately, he doesn't explain them and keeps joking about everything (too much). The mixed appetizers were a disappointment, while the rice was good...but I've had much better Persian/Syrian/Lebanese/Afghan cuisine around.

13/11/2025: Good food, but Kazem replied with a joke to every question we made. After two or tree unanswered questions, we gave up. One or two jokes is fine, but he refused to give us a stright answer. The only time he got serious was at the moment of paying. What did we eat? No idea. Was it tasty? Yes, but we really wanted to taste Iranian food, not a stand up comedy show. There's no point in trying to know the name of the food or even choose. He will just give you what he wants. Again, the food was good, but the experience was frustrating. I'm sorry Kazem, you surely are a good guy, but you are quite bad as a host.

28/06/2025: I went for a quick pizza al piatto (I was in the area and didn't know where to go) and I was amazed in an absolutely positive way: very kind and professional staff, excellent pizza, zero waiting times, super convenient price and very welcoming environment! I highly recommend Pizzeria Bar Mazzarino.
