16/08/2025: We spent a night here as a family while on a stopover. The reception staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The rooms we had were small but very clean and pleasant. The surroundings are simply magnificent, with a breathtaking Italian garden overlooking Lake Varese. We also enjoyed the breakfast, which was simple and delicious.
11/08/2025: The rooms need some refurbishment, they feel a bit like church accommodation. But it makes sense historically. The building and the gardens are amazing and the staff is extremely kind. Recommended.

23/09/2025: I've been there several times and the food has always been decent. Since it's not close to home, we don't come here very often, but if we were in the area, we'd stop in. Until the last time (because it will be the last time I set foot in this place) I stopped in with my family, including a 20-month-old baby. She ate almost nothing, maybe a few bites from my plate, so much so that she didn't even have a place set at the table and was drinking from my glass. When I got the bill, I discovered that the baby had paid 20 euros, and I complained because, on top of not having eaten, I had to pay for not even having a cover charge. So I was given a 5 euro discount, which I really found ridiculous, not because of the 15 euros I had to pay—for goodness sake, if I go to a restaurant it's because I can afford it—but rather because of the service provided for a charge that, in my opinion, was unjustified. I also want to point out that a child who is part of a family follows his parents, so I can't choose whether to leave him at home or bring him, as is the case with the dog under the next table (which is also a biter). Who knows if he also paid 20 euros or if they applied the same 5 euro discount because he wasn't at the table. The icing on the cake: I go to the bathroom to change the baby and it feels like I'm in a cemetery. A red light that I couldn't even see the door handle. Imagine how I could change my daughter in those conditions... but as a civilized person, I complied. I could have changed her in the stroller in front of everyone, also explaining the reason, but I'm polite, so I paid the bill and left. Last time you'll see me.

09/09/2025: Today I bought an ice cream cake that was about 20cm smaller in diameter than the ready-made ones they had in the window. The cake was good, I can't deny it, but I paid €50. It's definitely my fault for not asking the price first, since it was on display with a card containing the ingredients but not the price. Still, it was good, but never again...

Arriviamo alle 8, ci accomodato, il locale è pieno ma la maggior parte degli altri avventori sta già consumando la cena virgola nonostante questo aspettiamo più di 30 minuti per potere ordinare. Quando si prende l'ordinazione della carne, Bisogna chiedere come si preferisce la cottura, cosa che non è avvenuta nel mio caso e questo è decisamente errato. Aspettiamo ancora più di trenta minuti prima che incominciano a portare ciò che abbiamo ordinato, E comunque anche le bevande vengono servite in un tempo decisamente troppo lungo. Quando le pietanze arrivano al tavolo ci sono stati dei problemi, Mio padre ha lasciato metà della grigliata di pesce perché era bruciacchiata, mentre il contorno è stato servito qualche minuto dopo. Io ho mangiato a fatica la carne perché era cotta male.
Tenendo conto che i prezzi più che da Circolo sono da ristorante, beh, direi decisamente male.

02/02/2025: Ristorante in cui siamo già stati innumerevoli volte, e le ultime da dimenticare, ma si dà sempre un’altra chance… Do tre pallini per il limoncello (unica cosa ottima) e per affetto, ma il fritto di calamari (non certo perfetto se non immangiabile ) e il conto non ci stanno proprio: 90€ per un antipasto, 2 secondi (di cui uno mediocre ) e una bottiglia di vino mi sembrano esagerati per Gazzada! Teresa, su la testa e fatti sentire sia in sala che in cucina!
