25/02/2026: A gem just steps from home.
For my wife's birthday, I jokingly told her I'd love to take her to dinner at an osteria, just to have an experience a little different from the usual. Just for fun, I did the usual search and came up with the suggestion "Osteria dello Strecciolo," just steps from our house and a place I've been going to for decades. A quick look at the website and an equally quick reservation.
An instinctive choice, perhaps—some might say a risky one—but truly a happy one!
An elegant and very intimate location, professional and knowledgeable staff, with just the right amount of friendliness and helpfulness. The food? I'd risk being an understatement, but I'd encourage you to try it: you'll be the ones to suggest the right words, trust me!
Stop by the osteria as soon as possible!
Highly recommended!!!

The service is excellent, the staff are professional, smiling, and capable!
The cuisine is simply crafted with experience and the use of top-quality ingredients!

02/03/2026: The atmosphere is stuck in the 1990s, a decade during which some shelves were last dusted.
We ordered pizzas: the dough was truly mediocre and the toppings were made with low-quality ingredients.
The service was also disappointing.
We definitely won't be returning, nor will we recommend it.
28/02/2026: Good meat and seafood dishes, sometimes even traditional Milanese/Lombardy dishes (e.g., cassola), well-presented, a 7.5/8 rating, reasonable prices, a standard restaurant, and one of the best restaurants in the Robbiate, Merate, and Montevecchia areas. Parking.
Weekdays offer a fixed-price lunch menu with a first course, second course, and side dish, water, and a small draft beer for €13, making it popular with workers on their lunch break and others.

18/05/2025: Delusione.era tempo che non andavo ed ero rimasto ad una atmosfera accogliente e simpatica .invece ho trovato un metr vestito di nero che nulla a che fare con la ristorazione e due tre cameriere con attegiamento cracchiano ma da cracco non siamo.unitamente domando all metr ma gamberi in pastella sono congelati .non ce stata risposta.perche gli dico sul menu nn e segnalato.si informa e dice che sono congelati .gravissimo nn segnalati perche il prezzo nn era consono assolutamente.Quindi se dovete o volete migliorarvi fatelo davvero e abbassate i prezzi perche siete esagerati e nn capisco come abbia la fila fuori incompeensibile.nn ci tornero mai piu.
