During our trip to the mountains, we stopped at the Mirò Restaurant and I must say that it was a very good choice! The restaurant has everything you expect from a mountain restaurant: a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with wooden furnishings, and that feeling of "refuge" perfect after a day outdoors.
The food was the real protagonist: abundant and super tasty typical dishes! We tried the pizzoccheri (delicious, with just the right melting cheese), the polenta with very tender deer stew and meat that melted in the mouth. The local cheeses and cured meats on the platter were also of excellent quality.
To end on a high note, we couldn't help but try the dessert, caramel and meringue panna cotta was the icing on the cake!
The staff at the Mirò Restaurant were kind and helpful, with that touch of friendliness typical of mountain places. You could see that they put passion into what they do, both in the kitchen and in the dining room.
The prices are slightly above average, but considering the quality of the raw materials, the generous portions and the atmosphere, I would say that it is absolutely worth it.
If you are looking for a place to savor true mountain cuisine, with genuine dishes and a warm, family atmosphere, the Mirò Restaurant is an obligatory stop. Perfect for recharging after a day on the snow or a walk in the mountains.

13/01/2025: Stayed at this hotel for two nights. Well-maintained room, spotlessly clean and equipped with every comfort. Restaurant with few courses (better!) and all delicious, especially their polenta. Fantastic staff, especially the owner very friendly kind. Good and varied breakfast. Strong point: location. Just a 5-minute walk away you reach the free shuttle to the Bobbio plains. We will definitely be back!

22/01/2025: It is always advisable to book already set menus for all budgets from 10 euros salamella polenta... 15 braised polenta... excellent food even if you arrived at 2pm. Upstairs I read dormitories for the night but I don't know anything more. Very kind staff. I advise the owners to post directions from the arrival point of the cable car because we struggled to find it and the icy path made us sweat to get there!
06/01/2025: Bel rifugio in una bella location davanti alle piste da sci. Ottima la polenta e brasato e anche i dolci! Personale gentile ed accogliente e anche il servizio piuttosto veloce!

26/10/2024: We haven't understood if the management has changed recently, I can certainly say that the quality-price ratio is not the best. Two portions of tasteless pizzoccheri, drowned in cheese and with very little vegetables 15.00 euros.
27/08/2024: Delicatessen shop featuring really good zero-mile products.
The new restyling of the store has only made it more contemporary.
The traditional products have not changed, plus there are some new products to complete their offer.
Good quality and price considering that they are all handmade products with high quality raw materials.
The enriched cheese counter offers delicacies that are difficult to give up. The desserts are also really good.
Highly recommended place!

13/01/2025: Very rude! Ordered two fries and they gave only 1 small ketchup! I asked for the other one and they just said No! We argued over 1 ketchup for about 5 mins! Until they finally gave me the ketchup and made this rude movement with their hand like just go! Over crowded, bad service management, also definitely not recommended for someone who doesn’t speak Italian.
11/01/2025: We stayed several times a few years ago. Once it was a restaurant, now a Self-Service with restaurant prices. Good shin, as always, not bad pizoccheri, but the schnitzel, chips to avoid, they smell like old oil. Nightmare service, practically doesn't exist! Even booking the table doesn't work. Pure confusion.

22/07/2024: Sfiziosità locali rinnovate in nuove vesti. Basta poco per comporre una cucina creativa con i prodotti del territorio, senza gli eccessi finalizzati a stupire. La cascina è un piccolo luogo di pace, per amici e famiglie, con percorsi nella natura e quell’atmosfera accogliente da pranzo domenicale. L’uomo di punta fa il parcheggiatore, e accoglie lungo lo sterrato prendendosi cura della macchina. Si può mangiare all’interno della sala in legno o immersi nella natura, tempo permettendo. Ottime portate in cui spiccano i taroz, dei buoni ravioli fatti in casa, i canederli di fegato e la gallinella nostrana. Per chi è in zona ne vale la pena, prenotando qualche giorno prima.

15/02/2025: Abbiamo pernottato e soggiornato nei giorni da Giovedì 13 a Venerdì 14 Febbraio 2025. Sin dall'accoglienza ci siamo sentiti a nostro agio. Il signor Franco si è dimostrato attento alle nostre esigenze, accontentando e stimolando in varie occasioni le curiosità di nostro figlio di 7 anni. Ambiente sano, pulito, accogliente, panorama magnifico, cena impeccabile. Sicuramente da ripetere. Assolutamente consigliatissimo. Un caro ringraziamento ancora a Franco e a presto.
