21/10/2025: A beautiful place, both for its setting and its architecture, a mountain cabin style, all in wood, meticulously maintained both inside and out.
Traditional food, very good and well-prepared.
We were served with care and kindness.
Everything is truly excellent and delicious, but be careful to point out "extra" ingredients in dishes that at first glance appear to be plant-based. In the second course, "polenta taragna and fried mushrooms," it's not listed, but there's sausage in the polenta, which isn't visible at first glance and isn't pleasant to surprise a non-meat eater with.
The "souvenir" section is lovely, with magnets, mugs, Christmas decorations (and other things), and a product section (honey, liqueurs, and similar items made by the restaurant, carefully labeled and packaged).
We spent about €95 for three people, for three first courses, a second course, a side dish, three desserts, and two coffees. It's worth every penny.

16/10/2025: A lovely little place to pull over and enjoy a coffee and treat. We drove by and felt it only right to turn around and stop off here, and we were thankful we did. Very pleasant staff, comfortable setting, beautiful surroundings. Definitely worth a stop

Friendly staff.
It hasn't changed much, either in appearance or in prices (which I appreciate) since I used to stop here as a child with my grandparents (20 years ago).

The space is beautiful and refined, everything feels new.
The food is good (though not amazing) - the linguine with clams was average, a little bland, the octopus was great and the seared salmon was good.
The tiramisu is one of the best I've had in Italy.
We managed (in October) to get a table without a reservation (on a Saturday night).

The service was inattentive and a bit rushed - being tourists we weren't as well dressed as the other customers, there were 2 mistakes in our orders (drinks and dessert). A note: it was Saturday night and the restaurant was very crowded, which may have impacted the quality of service.
At 9 pm the noise made it impossible to talk.
A bit expensive in terms of quality/price ratio. It tries to be a refined restaurant, but on a Saturday night it didn't succeed, considering the quality of the food, the service and the noise.
05/10/2025: A top-notch restaurant in Ponte Caffaro, nestled between two rivers. It has a terrace in a beautiful garden with views of the surrounding mountains. The food here is always delicious and very special. The wine is delicious, and the service is also excellent.
We dined here in 2024, this time indoors because the weather wasn't great. The atmosphere inside was also lovely. This time we had 1kg of mussels (sauté di Cozze) to share as a starter, which was superb. Then we had Raviolini di Brasato and Bracioline di cervo (venison chops). Everything was equally delicious. We'll be back next year. Thank you. We also enjoyed it twice in 2025: once a delicious lunch with Italian friends, and a few days later a superb dinner.

For those of us who want to enjoy venison stew with porcini mushrooms, accompanied by polenta and a delicious bagoss cheese, all surrounded by a stunning panoramic view and served by friendly and professional staff. I highly recommend it. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their dedication.
27/09/2025: We returned to Cavallino with our friend Agnese, a restaurant with a terrace and an unmissable view, excellent dishes, and professional and courteous service. We ordered malfatti alla bagossa, braised beef with mushrooms, good wine by the glass, and crema catalana. Excellent value. Thanks to the owner, Laura. We'll be back.

27/09/2025: A very beautiful, old-fashioned place. Simple, clean rooms, with daily linen changes and housekeeping. The restaurant portions were generous, and the food had an authentic, home-style flavor. The owners were also very kind and helpful, especially the lady who runs the dining room. Highly recommended.

Everyone is super friendly and it is always a joy to be there. The Pizza is super good and all the ingredients are always fresh.
Parking in front of the door and even gelato is possible. Ask for Pizza Nutelloso if you like sweet things.
25/08/2025: We stopped at this little place somewhat by chance. The pizza was good and generous with toppings.
The owner was very kind, and we got to chatting, and he even offered us coffee.
If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely stop by.

27/08/2025: I ordered an egg, cheese, and speck. The plate was small, and the speck was nonexistent, as was the cheese. As per the photo in the review, I didn't even get bread. The wait time for a fried egg? Over 25 minutes. Other tables were served first, even though they arrived later. I should point out that there were only four of us. I'm sorry, but it was a terrible experience. The prices, finally, were too high for the quantities served... at least on the dish I ordered! It was a small one.
