24/03/2024: We were very satisfied with the dinner, both for the environment and obviously for the cuisine.
Really very good starters, in addition to the meatballs (in the photo) we also had the trio of polenta and the aubergine pie, one better than the other.
Truffled carbonara good but perhaps a little too seasoned for my tastes, I preferred the classic carbonara.
Still recommended.

27/03/2024: Nice, welcoming and intimate place. Mixed hot and cold appetizer to share, good, delicate and light. Very creamy and tasty cacio e pepe and carbonara! Not to mention the chef's first course... pork cheek with excellent grand manner caviar!! A butter... what a delight. Very nice owner! We will definitely be back

12/03/2024: Family restaurant. All delicious dishes starting from the focaccia through to the cacio e pepe. Just one piece of advice: if someone comes from Campania, don't serve them mozzarella in the appetizer. fair prices
25/02/2024: For years I haven't tasted the duality of handmade fettuccine... cordoselle at times, but delicate like the first rays of dawn.. But here in Valmontone and in the Ciociaria, my aunt, my grandmother, my mother, they all cook like this.
But if you come to the "Olio, sale e pepe" restaurant you lose the bet! The best cook is here, she cooks just like my aunt Italia Schina.
I'm touched, so many memories, thank you!

We had come from far away for the pizza.

28/03/2024: Prices not low but excellent pizza. We ordered a fillet of sea bream without a side dish and they were presented with an outrageously small fillet which was consumed in 4 forkfuls... At the time of payment I pointed this out and they discounted me a good €2.42 out of 48, 40 (I attach receipt). If you have to go there just for the pizza which doesn't cost very much...

Since we discovered it it has become and will continue to be a fixed stop. Delicious dishes, friendly and competent staff and a warm and welcoming environment. Chef Sonia and Chef Riccardo pamper you as if you were their child from start to finish and their humanity is on par with their level in the kitchen (this alone would be enough to describe the room level). The tasting menus they offer weekly and during special occasions are one better than the other. Treat yourself and try one of their experiences, you won't regret it!
30/03/2024: We went on Friday evening for a 25 euro aperitif with a glass of wine but then we wanted to add another course. Everything was delicious and with prices appropriate to the quality of things. Even the simple cod made an impression

02/04/2024: Inizierei raccontando il modo in cui siamo stati accolti dal personale di sala (soprattutto da un dubbio cameriere con la barba lunga); appena arrivati ci siamo trovati dinanzi una sala completamente vuota, ogni tavolo era libero e quindi ci siamo permessi di entrare per scegliere l’eventuale tavolo per la consumazione. Lo stesso cambierete con grande maleducazione ci ha subito redarguito dicendo che avremmo dovuto aspettare all’ingresso; ok ci sta, ma il suo modo è stato davvero scontroso, maleducato e prepotente. Per il cibo poi cosa dire, davvero zero…chili inesistente, sapori forti e piccanti inesistenti, porzioni nella media ma comunque troppo piccole per la tipica cucina messicana. Salse insipide e stranamente dolci. Prezzi alle stelle, neanche in un ristorante stellato. Bocciato, su tutta la linea.
Per il cameriere: sei un prepotente maleducato; anche se hai ragione nulla ti legittima a trattare i clienti PAGANTI in quel modo.
