Original, fresh, and incredibly attentive to the local produce, his ingredients transformed using culinary techniques often influenced by the Orient. The pairing with the beers from the Ritual Lab brewery is unique and successful, and not only are they delicious, they pair perfectly with the excellent dishes coming out of the kitchen. A wonderful discovery that deserves more recognition.

30/04/2026: On our trip from Rome to Umbria, we were very hungry. We found the Donna Lucia restaurant, which had ample parking. We received a very warm welcome and were given a table for three.
The waiter gave us excellent advice, and we ordered. The food was excellent, and we would definitely come back.

A stunning location... The green setting surrounding it is the envy of many, many places that make it a strong point... And then there are the bunnies too!!
The food is authentic, plentiful, and "sincere" (the farmer's ragù from the garden is truly delicious, and the tonnarello alla carbonara is absolutely stunning).
The service is courteous, and having to keep up with so many diners means there's a slight wait.
The price is excellent for what's on offer.
Well done!! A very happy birthday to Cucina Formello.

22/06/2026: Friendliness and a smile were the hallmarks of our welcome. The pizza was delicious, and the piadina kebab was the best I've had in a long time. Everything was taken care of! There's a children's playground out front, so everyone is happy. Perfect place.
11/04/2026: Family-run pizzeria by the slice and beyond. Extremely friendly, helpful, very clean, punctual, and excellent prices. They have a wide variety of round and sliced pizzas, including some very tasty specialty pizzas. They also make excellent burgers with excellent meat, and delicious first courses for lunch. Truly excellent value for money.

26/12/2025: For goodness sake, I went in to get some pizza, but the guy started spraying window cleaner while the pizza was still under there.
So, it was a truly disgusting act done in front of customers. I pointed it out, and even the girl behind the counter snapped at me... they were supposed to be closing, so anything goes! I'll never set foot in there again, and I've advised everyone I know against it! If it's done in front of customers, imagine what they'll do next...
01/12/2025: Now a meeting point for all motorcyclists taking the Cassia. Good service, delicious coffee, well-maintained restrooms.

25/01/2026: We had a really lovely lunch here on a wet Saturday! All the food was really nice, excellent antipasto, good portion size and reasonable prices. Very nice service.
15/08/2025: Slightly outside Formello, surrounded by greenery. Nice place with ample parking, home-cooked food, and friendly staff. The house wine is cheap, the local vegetables are excellent. We had excellent fettuccine with meat sauce, as was the chicken with peppers. Reasonably priced, we had a great time.
The only complaint is the chairs... the most uncomfortable I've ever sat on.
Otherwise, I'd recommend it if you're looking for a casual, homey place.

17/04/2026: I walk into the bar for a coffee, but there's no one at the register. I was the only customer in the place. The barista sees me, encourages me to approach the counter, and asks me what I want. I say a coffee, and he asks if I want to sit down. I say no, thanks. Then he tells me I have to go to the register and pay. I'm shocked; the register was next to him and he could see there was no one there. I tell him I'll pay as soon as someone comes. I don't run away. I ask him why he took my order, if he knew I'd have to pay first. He replies that he thought I wanted to sit down. I reiterate that I'll pay as soon as I see someone at the register. He simply disappears. Unbelievable. Finally, the owner appears at the register. He was chatting pleasantly with an acquaintance, and I had to wait for him to finish. I complain, and he tells me the barista follows his orders, that they do it with everyone so they don't make mistakes. I retort that he's rude. I would have understood if the place were full, but then again, I was the only one there. Furthermore, the coffee was terrible. Watered down, like when the coffee machine filters aren't washed properly. Not even that, then. Not even in the worst tourist traps in central Rome are customers treated this poorly. Absolutely avoid.
