We had dinner for four last night (two couples) at Mogano di Formello, and we were all delighted. The venue is stunning, elegant, and has an intimate atmosphere, perfect for a special evening.
The dishes are presented like works of art, featuring excellent ingredients and a perfect balance between tradition and innovation. Impeccable service, and the staff are knowledgeable and very welcoming.
The quality-price ratio is absolutely in line with the high level of the experience. We'll definitely be back, highly recommended!
03/05/2026: We were blown away by Chef Matteo Faenza's culinary offerings. Original, fresh, and incredibly attentive to the local produce, his ingredients transformed using culinary techniques often influenced by the Orient. The pairing with the beers from the Ritual Lab brewery is unique and successful, and not only are they delicious, they pair perfectly with the excellent dishes coming out of the kitchen. A wonderful discovery that deserves more recognition.

01/08/2026: I come to this place often and have always recommended it. The food is always good and well-served.
My latest experience, however, left me a bit disappointed. We had ordered two dishes, but after a long time, we were told they were no longer available. The owner's son offered us an alternative, adding that, to accommodate us given the situation, he would make it for the same price.
The attitude at the cashier wasn't the best, and, trusting what we'd been told, we didn't immediately check the receipt. Only later did we realize we'd paid full price for the new dish. It's not a question of money, but of fairness: if you make me an offer subject to a certain condition, I expect it to be respected.
I hope it was just an isolated incident, because I've always appreciated this place.

22/06/2026: Friendliness and a smile were the hallmarks of our welcome. The pizza was delicious, and the piadina kebab was the best I've had in a long time. Everything was taken care of! There's a children's playground out front, so everyone is happy. Perfect place.
11/04/2026: Family-run pizzeria by the slice and beyond. Extremely friendly, helpful, very clean, punctual, and excellent prices. They have a wide variety of round and sliced pizzas, including some very tasty specialty pizzas. They also make excellent burgers with excellent meat, and delicious first courses for lunch. Truly excellent value for money.

28/04/2026: Buffet lunch for E10. Drinks extra, but they are good value. Vegetarian options. Great place on a hot afternoon. Kind staff let me use the wifi to plan the next leg of my pilgrimage. Right on Via Francigena.

25/01/2026: We had a really lovely lunch here on a wet Saturday! All the food was really nice, excellent antipasto, good portion size and reasonable prices. Very nice service.
15/08/2025: Slightly outside Formello, surrounded by greenery. Nice place with ample parking, home-cooked food, and friendly staff. The house wine is cheap, the local vegetables are excellent. We had excellent fettuccine with meat sauce, as was the chicken with peppers. Reasonably priced, we had a great time.
The only complaint is the chairs... the most uncomfortable I've ever sat on.
Otherwise, I'd recommend it if you're looking for a casual, homey place.

26/07/2026: I used to come here, but after seeing the reviews I stopped. Today I stopped by for a sandwich and a coffee. I pay and ask, "Can I have it delivered outside?" And they say yes, I go outside, wait, no one brings me anything, it's been on the table for several minutes, I go in and they tell me it's been there for a while and I have to go get it (which is absurd), I'll take it, I'll take it outside. The Americano coffee was cold, undrinkable, I asked for it with honey and they didn't even give it to me. Then I ask if it's possible to have a glass of water and they say, "Yes, you have to go get it inside." I've been back and forth 4 times and there were very few people inside 😂 truly speechless. Not to mention the last time I went in and they were all fighting among themselves, there was this girl who worked there and they treated her terribly, she was exhausted, thank goodness she left, poor thing! DON'T GO UNTIL THEY IMPROVE! You can't keep a bar like this despite all the reviews, you have to improve
