The freshest fish is caught that morning at the port, perfectly cooked, enhancing the flavor without weighing it down. The service is friendly and courteous, making you feel at home. Truly a wonderful fish dinner, worth trying again and again.
10/09/2025: A very charming place with incredibly friendly and attentive service. The food is first-rate. A friend recommended it to us, made a reservation for us, and told us we'd love it! And so it was! I recommend it to everyone; it's a wonderful experience.

27/07/2025: Excellent pizza! Following on from a previous negative review by the lady at table 14, I'd say she didn't quite understand the place's philosophy: the pizza, the service, and the food are the best you can get. It's just a shame the draft beer dispenser isn't working this evening.

26/08/2025: We stayed at the Hotel Miramare Garzia from August 15 to August 26. What can I say... staying here is like being part of a family; the owner and her son Alessandro are always available to help guests.
Our room had a small balcony overlooking the sea/archaeological park, which I loved throughout our stay.
The hotel is strategically located for visiting both the center of Marinella Selinunte and the archaeological park.
I highly recommend the Hotel Miramare and will definitely be back.
24/08/2025: We stayed for about a week with our children. It's a small, family-run hotel. You can feel the genuine hospitality and warm atmosphere here. It's especially great for families. Thanks to the owner and all the staff. We appreciated the proximity to the archaeological park, the beach right in front, and the breakfast.

21/08/2025: From the positive reviews, I expected much more: the quality of the food and its ingredients isn't the best.
My companion and I ordered a plate of "gran fritto misto," which we expected to find anything but a single prawn, very few calamari, and numerous small pieces of breaded and fried swordfish. The quality and poor leavening of the pizza also disappointed us.
18/08/2025: Super friendly, helpful, and cheerful staff. Nice, quiet place, very good wood-fired pizza. A place where you can relax and enjoy fair, honest prices. I highly recommend it.

26/08/2025: The place is really cute; in the summer, tables are set up outside in a quaint courtyard, surrounded by greenery and lit by pretty strings of fairy lights. It's a real shame about the waitress's "welcome"; as soon as we were seated, she asked us all to choose the same dish "because we only have four burners." When I replied, citing our different needs (one person is vegetarian and the other doesn't eat fish), she replied with an annoyed expression, "Do as you wish, I warned you. Don't complain if you eat separately afterwards."... is this a restaurant or not? 🤣
We ordered two grilled fish and two identical first courses anyway, to make things easier for the kitchen; the other diners chose two other first courses (including vegetarian busiate pasta with basil cream) and a grilled meat.
The other waiters were kind and professional, and the wait for our dishes wasn't long.
The first courses are good and tasty, the grilled fish is lightly seared (the squid and shrimp are almost raw, so if you don't like it, let us know in advance). The prices are a little high compared to the local average.
16/08/2025: On holiday in Selinunte, on our last evening we wanted to eat a good pizza and, trusting the reviews we read on Google, we booked a table for two. Very neat location, very kind staff, excellent pizza, fair prices... pleasant evening... I highly recommend it.

27/07/2025: I'll start by saying I didn't want to add anything to the reviews, which already speak for themselves.
But then I read the restaurant's response to one of the latest reviews. It was a response to a negative critique, which stated, "It's the fault of those who raised you." And there I felt like I'd been catapulted into a dystopian spin-off of Quentin Tarantino's "Courtesy of Guests."
The funny thing is, we thought we'd simply been unlucky... but then I read the other reviews. And it's a journey. A collage of similar experiences, where the pasta is bad, the service is terrible, and customers are treated like disobedient children in need of re-education. Infinite sadness. We are all protagonists of the same collective nightmare. My heart goes out to you, brothers and sisters at table 7.
At the end of the evening, it was 10:30 PM and we hadn't had dinner. We went for a crepe somewhere else, and guess what? It was delicious. Warm, welcoming, quiet. No one yelled at us. No one insulted our manners. It seemed like a dream.
I laugh so as not to go back.
27/07/2025: Ancient traditions of teasing customers: we ordered LINGUINE with clams, a seafood appetizer, and fried fish for two. We specifically asked for all the dishes at once because we had to wait for the pizza. SPOILER: The pizza arrived first. There must have been three batches, which we later discovered the owner didn't even know were on the menu. Two arrived with a burrata and three cherry mozzarellas, the third arrived with a discount mozzarella. Maybe they thought the third diner was stupid and wouldn't notice. SPOILER: He did notice.
But back to the obviously frozen clams, and especially with EGG TAGLIATELLE. Perhaps they thought we weren't able-bodied enough to notice (we did). But the best part is the owner's genius, telling us that these are just homemade linguine, holding a package of pasta with the words EGG FETTUCCINE written on it.

09/03/2025: In 5 adulti da Trapani dopo un'ora di strada arriviamo alle 13,20, il menù fisso da 40 euro a persona prevedeva un benvenuto con olive, mandorle e bruschette accompagnate da vino bianco, troviamo solo vino e olive, chiediamo al cameriere che ci dice che non c'è altro, entriamo in sala e troviamo già sul tavolo un tagliere di salumi e formaggi, non certo per 5 persone ma appena sufficiente per 2/3, cominciano ad arrivare vari tipi di antipasti caserecci tra questi 4 polpette, per cui una abbiamo dovuta dividerla in due per poterla assaggiare tutti, i primi una mezza busta e un risotto senza alcun sapore, scotto ed ingredienti diversi da quelli previsti (carciofi e speck) nessuno di noi l'ha finito era immangiabile, la grigliata mista era sufficiente per 2/3 persone senza il contorno di arance e finocchi previsto ma con insalata di radicchio con qualche pomodoro (in un agriturismo di Castelvetrano ? non è certamente prodotto locale) insomma quella che al supermercato vendono nei bustoni già pronta per il consumo, un arancia e quattro mandarini da sbucciare, l'arancia l'abbiamo divisa in 5 parti visto che né hanno portato una per 5 persone, infine 5 cassatelle con ricotta (quelle surgelate). Siamo rimasti veramente delusi e sicuramente non ci torneremo né lo consiglieremo.

15/07/2025: This was a very good solution to the need to eat when most restaurants have finished serving lunch and not started serving dinner. As easily happens when travelling, we had spent much of the middle part of the day touring the large archeological site. Generous amounts of tasty food: pizza and antipasti, sitting outside under shelter. A range of wine by the glass. Service was prompt and pleasant. We then went inside where there is a sizable shop to top up on various local goodies to enjoy in our B&B garden that evening and over the coming days. Especially loved the macaroons. It was easy to park nearby, too - which can't be said for most of Seninunte nearer the beach where traffic crawls and parking is hard.
25/05/2025: Questo posto è perfetto sempre. Lo scoprimmo per caso mio figlio e io, nel 2021. Quest'anno che siamo ritornati in zona, abbiamo voluto pranzare ancora una volta qui. Sapori, colori, gentilezza, professionalità, simpatia....tutto al top!!!!!!
E' e sarà sempre uno dei miei posti del cuore.
