03/08/2025: This small but exquisite and extremely authentic Sicilian bistro (PierdeCat Sicilian Bistrò) is definitely worth a visit! Every summer when we spend our vacation in Taormina, it's now a must for us to stop by this fantastic bistro several times during our stay. (The freshly prepared arancini and the herb-flavored tomato salad are simply divine!)
We're already looking forward to hopefully returning to Piero's again soon.
31/07/2025: We came for lunch and we were not disappointed. The food was incredible, especially the arancini. Hospitality was amazing and they made us feel extremely welcomed. They were clearly very passionate about their food and so they should be, it was excellent. If you are staying in Castelmola or the surrounding areas, I would definitely recommend visiting the town and eating here.

The pistachio and almond granita accompanied by the legendary brioche (served hot) is exceptional.
If you visit Castelmola, you can't miss Bar Turrisi.
Highly recommended!
12/07/2025: Turrisi Bar is a must-visit for both Castelmola and Taormina. Anyone visiting these parts, even for just a day, can't miss it. It's unique inside and has a breathtaking view outside. The service is excellent, and while they're not the best granitas and brioches in the area, it's still worth a visit and a drink with a view.

10/08/2025: 6 out of 5. We stumbled across this small restaurant in the town. What a lovely evening we had there. The owners and team were lovely. The food was excellent. They also gave us a complimentary shot of family made wine liquor, which was delicious. Would highly recommend this place. Their hard work and customer service ethic are awesome.
09/08/2025: Nous avons passé un chaleureux moment à ce restaurant typique sicilien ! Le personnel est très sympathique. Nos plats étaient copieux et savoureux. Et tout ça avec une vue imprenable sur l'Etna!!!

We stopped by for a cute aperitif /appetizer time.
4 differents Bruschetta plate was INCREDIBLE !
And their SPECIAL ALMONDS WINE , absolutely delicious.
We definitely recommend this restaurant.

22/07/2025: Great setting. Terrible service. Food was edible but far from good. There was a bee in the food and they tried to charge us double for things that were never serve. To be avoided.

Le Mimose di Falanga e Santamaria

06/06/2025: Was quiet but my sword fish was fabulous and so too my husband's minute steak. The family running it are friendly and helpful. I've read that it's off the beaten track and yes it's not on either of the 2 squares or the main road but Castelmola is a small village so it's not hard to find and is worth the little effort.
28/05/2025: The service and food was great. They were very friendly. The view from the terrace is magnificent. Our 10 month old granddaughter loved their spaghetti. My gnocchi was amazing. I finished with a taste of their local almond wine! We will be back!

11/04/2025: Fermati a cena dopo una visita del posto per una pizza! La vista è fantastica,merita una tappa! Pizza buona! Servizio un po lento...migliorabile, ma ricordo che quella sera c'era un evento per cui probabilmente il motivo è riconducibile a quello.

15/08/2024: On s'installe en fin d'après midi pour une boisson. On demande le prix : 3€. Lorsqu'on veut payer -> 2X3 = 8 visiblement. Pour le principe ce n'est pas agréable. Ils ont finalement accepté de faire payer le prix annoncé. Sinon le lieu est assez sympathique, quoique vieillot. Un terrasse très étroite présente une très belle vue sur l'Etna. Bref, allez-y mais soyez vigilants et demandez les prix (qui comme d'habitude ne sont pas affichés)
