Prepared and served by the family who was born and raised in this place and who still manages it with professionalism and the warmth that you only perceive "in the family".
10/05/2025: This was one of the highlights of our trip to the Italian lakes. Quiet, picturesque, lovely walk to the waterfall, flat grassy pitch and then there was the dinner. It was excellent. 5 courses plus wine and coffee at a very reasonable price. There were 12 others in the restaurant which gave it a great atmosphere.
If you want great traditional food and a lovely stopover in the area, we recommend it highly. Thank you to the Simonotti family for their great hospitality.

11/07/2025: Very nice and welcoming. The walls are out of place, with exposed cables, chargers, and other consumer electronics. They're confusing, making it look like an electronics store.

04/05/2025: Inaspettato. Dopo essere stati sul lungomare di Arona ed aver mangiato il peggior spaghetto alle vongole della nostra vita, le due sere successive abbiamo provato ad essere meno "mondani" e abbiamo puntato sulla semplicità (che spesso si accosta a genuinità e bontà). Una vera sorpresa. L'ambiente della Piola è informale, certo, ma il locale è accogliente, con arredi ben disposti e pulizia impeccabile. Il personale è efficiente e molto attento al cliente: la cameriera che ci ha serviti è stata carinissima, sorridente, educata, esauriente nella presentazione dei piatti e con lo sguardo sempre rivolto ai tavoli e ai commensali. I piatti sono semplici ma non troppo, con un tocco personale del cuoco, che non guasta. Comunque tutto buono e con rapporto qualità prezzo al limite dell'incredibile. La seconda sera, infatti, pur essendoci trasferiti a 11 km di distanza, non ci abbiamo pensato due volte a ritornare. Complimenti.
