08/02/2025: A really welcoming place to have an aperitif or a quick dinner. The shank, the sandwiches, the grilled meat and the sweet and savory crepes are excellent. They serve Baladin beer on tap or in bottles (I love it!). Kind and attentive staff.

17/03/2025: Bellissima serata e ottimo cibo. Io ho mangiato una grigliata mista spettacolare, carne tenera e saporita, servita in una porzione davvero generosa, e mia moglie un’ottima pizza. Oltre alla qualità del cibo (raramente ho mangiato una grigliata più buona!), da notare la grande disponibilità e cortesia dei gestori nel venire incontro alle mie esigenze alimentari addirittura nei contorni e nei condimenti, davvero molto apprezzato!
30/12/2024: Really good pizza: fragrant and light dough, well stuffed. Well-kept environment with exposed beams and a splendid fireplace. Very kind owners. We'll be back.

03/01/2025: Il locale sembra ristrutturato da poco. Sala accogliente, grande, un po' rumorosa. Personale gentile, primi piatti e pizze arrivati quasi subito, poi aspettato un po' per i dolci. Ottimo quello che abbiamo preso, cioè e pizze ( in particolare la margarina con speck, raschera e noci) i gnocchi e tutti i dolci, fatti in casa. Rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo. Esperienza assolutamente piacevole.
02/01/2025: We start from the assumption that the table was booked at 8.30pm and we sat down at 8.50pm. Served after several minutes of waiting, no bread or breadsticks served at the table, included in the cover charge. Unclear order from the waitress. The order included pizzas and first courses, the pizzas arrived after a few minutes but the first courses arrived with an excessive delay, we ordered at 9pm and the dishes arrived at 10pm (dishes that were easy to prepare and all the same) furthermore the waiters they were not at all interested in our table and in pampering us as a customer wishes to be treated in a restaurant. Good dishes

23/10/2023: The food was not very spacial. The simplest of dishes were all right but as soon as you ordered something a little less classic they seem to really mess it up. The service was something to be ashamed of. The food arrived with a 30 minute difference between people and the waiter was distracted as well ad rude to the table when we were nothing but respectful. Do not recomennd at all. At the end the waiter pulled a member of our table from his seat and dragged him to an automat in a semi violent manner. The toilet was horrible, the drinks were bad tasting. This place is truly the butthole of rome.

17/08/2024: Oggi dopo una bella passeggiata da San Giacomo ci siamo fermati a pranzare alla baita della croce. La nuova gestione italo-spagnola, attiva da aprile 2024, ha dato una bella svolta a un bel locale in un bel posto ma ormai in decadenza.... i piatti serviti sono un po tipici italiani e un pò spagnoli, una variante che in montagna dove le cose sono sempre un pò tradizionali, fa veramente piacere. Il personale è molto cortese I piatti sono buoni e il prezzo è corretto. Torneremo sicuramente
15/08/2024: Vorrei ringraziare il gestore della Baita, stavamo rientrando alla base della seggiovia, dopo una breve escursione sui monti di San Giacomo, ero con mia moglie e mia figlia, quando è arrivato un temporale. La baita era chiusa, ho chiamato e mi sono venuti ad aprire e ci hanno fatto accomodare sotto la tettoia ai tavoli. Ci hanno portato subito qualcosa da bere di caldo, sono stati gentilissimi anche se dovevano prepararsi per il giorno dopo per il ferragosto. Continuava a piovere, abbiamo chiesto un ombrello per andare a recuperare l'auto che distava da li circa 4 km. Il gestore mi ha detto vi porto io con l'auto. E' una persona molto simpatica e generosa, è uno spagnolo trapiantato nelle Marche ed ora è in piemonte da Aprile a gestire questa fantastica Baita. Mi ha dato l'impressione di un mix di ospitalità ed intelligenza turistica. Grazie ancora anche se alla fine non ci siamo detti come ci chiamiamo, io sono Stefano. Torneremo a trovarvi per una mangiata e dirvi ancora grazie.
