I highly recommend it

26/01/2025: Ci sono stati problemi per far stare una neonata di una settimana con il proprio passeggino (causa poco spazio, ma lo spazio c’era )
Tempi di attesa quasi pari ad un matrimonio seduti alle 13:15 , alzati alle 15 :20 per un antipasto e un primo
Abbiamo infatti rinunciato al secondo perché altrimenti si faceva cena
Aggiungerei che non hanno cibo o qualcosa di diverso dal menù per bambini (una penna al sugo o pesto non c’è)
Poca scelta anche negli amari

15/01/2025: Partiti per lavoro da Cortemilia, un tragitto lungo verso Cairo Montenotte senza l ombra di un bar o altro...
Arriviamo in una curva ed ecco l'insegna del primo ristorante: Il Ristoro di Paolone.
Da fuori eravamo titubanti, l ingresso ci ha sconfortato...poi arriviamo nel locale e ci si è aperto un mondo.
Cinportano il cestino del pane con focaccia ligure, focaccia alla cipolla e pane fatto co l impasto della pizza...STRAORDINARIO!
Primi ottimi e secondi gustosi. Proprio una bella scoperta. Bravi

10/09/2024: I was there 30 years ago, the owner was called Bruno. I remember that the guesthouse was full and he made us sleep in an apartment under the arches. I was with some friends and I remember that in my room there was an old piece of furniture full of letters written by a Sardinian lady. The letters were at least 50 years old, I spent the whole night reading them, immersing myself in that Italian atmosphere of black and white films, of poor emigrants. I remember that night like it was yesterday, how nostalgic, I was under 20. The next day the owner moved us to his house, I think it was on the outskirts, it was called the villas.

25/01/2025: Heard good things from friends and out of curiosity we went to try lunch.... What can I say... Helpful and friendly staff, really excellent food! The ravioli with meat sauce left us speechless.
Price more than fair! Really highly recommended!!!

31/08/2024: I have already been several times to the friends who run this place, I call them friends even though I have only known them for a short time, but they were immediately welcoming, cheerful, always available to chat and tell us about their specialties.
The place is beautiful, in a historic courtyard, where they have been able to combine art and color with the ancient context, you can see that one of the owners is an artist... for me, color is life, they have certainly finally brought a bit of joy to me valley!
The focaccias are amazing, and the cocktails are top-notch.
I like to feel a little enclosed in a world where life flows slower and more pleasant... aperitif always top notch... nothing but the usual focaccias and stale pizzas, nothing but chips and peanuts... get some advice, and you won't be disappointed disappointed, a highly recommended place for an evening of delicious hospitality, thank you...see you soon!😊🤩😘

Cristina a legend.. amazing focaccias (stracchino and nutella to try!!!) .. and then everything else.. ravioli, braised tagliatelle.. very good even if they are Genoans (only flaw so to speak) 😂😂😂😂 we will definitely be back!

08/12/2024: Proprio oggi sono stata a Cairo Montenotte x vedere i mercatini..ho chiesto informazioni x un posto dove poter mangiare e mi hanno risposto"qui dietro alla Grotta,non sbagli" e sono rimasta senza parole x la bontà dei scialatielli ai frutti di mare.. ritornerò sicuramente....
27/10/2024: Non proprio la giornata migliore x pranzare oggi 27 ottobre a Cairo Montenotte, cittadina che ieri è stata investita da un'ondata di piena del fiume Bormida, ed oggi ne portava i segni sulle strade e nell'assenza di segnali satellitari e telefonici.
Ma arrivati al ristorante "La Grotta" abbiamo mangiato proprio bene, celiaci e non celiaci.
La mia carbonara senza glutine era fatta come si deve (e abbondante!), il fritto di acciughe (liguri, e freschissime) e calamari, pure. Lorenzo, il gentilissimo figlio dei titolari, è celiaco, e dare un servizio senza glutine è stato per i suoi familiari naturale, e certamente gradito.
I prezzi sono corretti, l'ambiente simpatico e tranquillo.
Tornerò sicuramente, e lo consiglio!

28/08/2023: A beautiful place surrounded by nature, I had dinner with the owners and we chatted all evening like old friends...
I had an apartment available just for me and they also let me eat all homemade things, what can I say....
If I return to Nice or those parts, even just to eat, I will stop by these friends... because even if we don't know each other, they treated me as a friend and I didn't feel like a guest. And then it must be said that they are very young... good guys....
18/08/2023: What can I say? Five stars because Google only gives me this possibility, otherwise I would have given thirty. Fantastic place, equally fantastic staff. The care they have for customers is formidable, as is the care for the environment around them. Availability, friendliness and professionalism are qualities that cannot be built, but are possessed through passion, and they have them all. The cuisine and the products are zero centimeter and delicious and at honest prices. The finishing touch is the swimming pool and the very nice Caddy horse.
I recommend anyone to go there with their eyes closed, and we will definitely be back.

01/12/2024: salve,sono un eremita che gira per il mondo in cerca della pizza suprema ma…
arriviamo al dunque, la pizza sembra un cracker, é bruciata e puzza di ascelle inoltre il soffitto fa schifo sembra di essere sotto i ferri dentro a un ospedale, le consiglio di affittare qualche persona forte a picchiare dal dark web come un bodyguard o un lottatore di mma perché la pizza fa talmente schifo che potrebbe crearsi una grande rissa tra i clienti e il personale,
salve e a mai più🤓
