Ristorante Pizzeria " Le Scalette "

08/10/2025: The food is excellent; try the homemade pasta (superb) and the meat (good and well-cooked), obviously with a cascade of porcini mushrooms.
The place is a bit dated and could use some more tidiness; there are only a few tables.
The wild strawberries in Nemi are a must; they're also available here, but I had mine overlooking the lake (spectacular).

I had the pleasure of enjoying a plate of homemade fettuccine with wild boar, which was a true masterpiece. The pasta, with its perfect texture, embraced a rich, flavorful sauce, with the wild boar adding a rustic, delicate touch to the dish. Each bite was an explosion of flavors that made me feel instantly immersed in the local gastronomic tradition.
Next, the suckling pig platter was a real treat. The tender and flavorful meat melted in your mouth, its flavor reflecting the care taken in selecting the ingredients and preparing them. The platter was enriched with a selection of excellent cheeses, which, accompanied by a jam, perfectly complemented the experience. Every bite was a journey through authentic and genuine flavors.
The combination of fresh ingredients, culinary expertise, and impeccable hospitality makes Le Scalette a must-visit for anyone who wants to savor the true cuisine of Nemi. An experience I absolutely recommend and deserves 5 stars!

30/09/2025: We came to Nemi for the first time over the weekend. Unfamiliar with the place, we had no idea it would take us almost an hour to find a parking spot. We immediately notified the restaurant of our delay, and when we arrived, apologizing numerous times, we were "reprimanded" in front of everyone else and treated very rudely by the lady serving the tables (I don't know if she was the owner). She then made us wait even longer, even though there was an empty table set, and after half an hour of total ignorance, we decided to leave. I don't know how the food is, but politeness and a friendly approach to customers are what truly set a place apart.
23/09/2025: Food was so good that we forgot to take pictures. Only got desserts pictures when our stomachs were full. From starters to desserts, every dishes were perfect. We returned all the way from Rome in less than 1 week after our last visit.

The ravioli dish was excellent. You can sit outside or in the restaurant on the second floor. The view is not as good, but it is much more pleasant there. I didn't like the political involvement outside the restaurant.

23/09/2025: I was there a few weeks ago with some friends. The waitress was very unmotivated and unwilling to serve us. I ordered truffle pasta with another friend, which tasted okay. The other customers' food was good and everything was fine. After a few hours, I started having a stomachache. I felt worse and worse until I had to vomit. I stayed up almost all night because she was constantly vomiting and couldn't sleep. My other friend, who had eaten the same food as me, had the same experience during the night. I don't know what went wrong in the kitchen, but getting food poisoning in a restaurant is outrageous. After two days, I was able to eat something again without vomiting immediately. I will never go to that restaurant again.

Homemade fettuccine with wild boar is addictive.
I've never had a better restaurant.

07/10/2025: A very nice restaurant with a breathtaking lake view terrace.
Of course, the most important thing is that the food is very, very good.
The fettuccine with porcini mushrooms is delicious, the chicory is second to none, and the grilled pork shoulder is amazing.
Special mention goes to the maître d', whose name I don't know, but I must say, he's a character from another era, with a quick wit.
Just to enjoy his mimicry and his gestures, this restaurant is worth a visit.
Highly recommended.

22/06/2025: Ristorante collocato all' interno di un hotel posizionato sulla via dei Laghi. Sala interna elegante e sala esterna più informale. Si mangia sia pizza che carne e anche pesce. Cibo nella norma ma i funghi porcini sono ottimi. Personale gentile. Prezzi onesti.
02/06/2025: Abbiamo prenotato in questo hotel per il fine settimana della sagra delle fragole. Era tutto pieno e qui abbiamo trovato posto. Non è comodissimo perché, anche se dista 1 km dal centro di Nemi, andare a piedi è faticoso e pericoloso perché il marciapiede è piccolo ed è in discesa/salita. Sono stati molto carini, la camera grande, con balcone che ha una bella vista peccato però in comune con le altre stanze. Il bagno datato ma pulito. La colazione molto molto buona con tanta scelta e dolci fatti in casa.

28/09/2025: Arm yourself with patience, we wanted to order a first course and a second course, but it wasn't possible. Orders are taken only by course type, meaning you order the first course first, then you eat, and then you order the second course. It's the first time this has happened to me. We waited about an hour for the first course, which was good, but then we decided against ordering the second course due to the time constraints. Ultimately, the food should be good if you can get it.

11/05/2025: Abbiamo cenato un sabato sera e siamo rimasti soddisfatti per il cibo, molto meno per il servizio. Se capiti nelle mani di un cameriere stordito, ci fai notte. Ottima la pizza.
29/03/2025: Oggi con degli amici e un cane abbiamo pranzato in questo ristorante vicino al centro di Nemi, l’oste è davvero super simpatico e gentile, così come il cameriere che ci ha servito. Abbiamo preso degli antipasti misti con formaggi vari e carciofi, e dei primi (buonissima la pasta con i porcini). Era tutto buonissimo e di qualità. Il prezzo è stato più che onesto (abbiamo speso 27euro a testa, per noi che arriviamo dal nord un sogno!). Lo consiglio vivamente a chi passa da Nemi, è proprio un’esperienza nella classica trattoria romana. Complimenti a tutti!

13/10/2025: We went to La Fiocina, on Lake Nemi, and we had a wonderful time!
Stunning location with a breathtaking view of the lake and a relaxing atmosphere.
We started with an excellent mixed Italian antipasto and anchovies with friggitelli peppers, all fresh and plentiful.
Followed by fettuccine with porcini mushrooms, fettuccine with wild boar ragù, and boscarelli with porcini mushrooms, all tasty dishes made with fresh pasta made with great care.
To finish, we had a berry and chocolate crumble, both delicious!
Friendly, fast service, and fair prices.
A highly recommended place, and we'll definitely be back!
12/10/2025: The quality of the food is excellent.
The staff is courteous and smiling.
Unfortunately, the service times, given some complaints prior to this review, aren't the most reassuring.
It's not unusual, apparently, to sit for more than two hours... frankly, a bit too much.
The desserts are a bit lacking.
Having cats as companions is a plus, in my opinion.

22/10/2025: Don't be put off by the rating. I had a wonderful experience at Bar Tiberio. We ordered eggplant lasagna and spaghetti carbonara. We also ordered a red wine recommended by the waiter. The wine was very good. The service was very fast. My first experience in Capri, and it was very good! I highly recommend it!
20/10/2025: Unbelievable.
7 euros for 500ml of still water.
Yes it was written on the menu, but still.
9 euros for a plain coke.
Food portions were unreasonably small and inadequate for their price.
Haven't been played like this for quite some time.
The definition of a Tourist trap, avoid whatsoever.

12/10/2025: Nice place with a nice view, but the rest is a total disappointment, 70g of pasta for 13 euros... 2 hours of waiting, almost non-existent service, we had to clear the table ourselves, I fully advise against it.
12/10/2025: Terrible place, endless waiting times, and poor service, the waiter arrogantly asked not to order different dishes to reduce the wait, possibly to be avoided

20/08/2023: Spinti dalle buone recensioni e dalle foto online abbiamo deciso di fermarci in questo ristorantino per il pranzo a Nemi.
Nulla da dire sul personale e il servizio davvero ottimo e cordiale.
Per quanto riguarda i piatti devo ammettere che ci aspettavamo di più. Gli antipasti in particolare non sono stati esattamente come immaginavamo.
Il conto leggermente più alto della media ma di questo ne eravamo consapevoli.
01/08/2023: Grazioso locale, posto all'inizio del Borgo, con saletta interna e alcuni tavolini all'esterno. Sala accogliente, personale gentilissimo e servizio attento. Piatti gustosi, dalle ottime materie prime e ben preparati. Noi adoriamo il Tagliere Grani, con tantissimi salumi e formaggi davvero buonissimi, ma è tutto ottimo...Da provare e tornare!!

Gran Caffè Le Delizie - Nemi (RM)

28/02/2024: Evito di recensire quello che ho preso al bar, perché in tutta Nemi le crostatine grossomodo sono quelle (più o meno), il caffé è caffé quello e via discorrendo. Comunque buone...
Di tutti i bar del centro di Nemi, è il secondo e ultimo (visto che ormai li ho finiti) nel quale sono stato trattato con educazione e cortesia soprattutto. Il che mi aveva fatto pensare di essere capitato in un paese di zotici, che probabilmente è anche vero visto il tenore con cui altre volte sono stato persino apostrofato.
Arrivo con una amica e, come sosta dell'allenamento, entro in bicicletta percorrendo rigorosamente giù di sella il corso di Nemi. Arriviamo al bar saltando volontariamente quello che lo precede (un bar gestito da dei maleducati a cinque stelle, ai limiti della litigata) che è oggetto di altra mia recensione.
Poggiamo le bici in sicurezza, estendiamo alla signora l'ordinazione e la richiesta se ci possiamo sedere. La signora del bar ci dice sorridendo di sì, ma non pagando il servizio al tavolo ci dobbiamo venire a prendere il vassoio da soli.
Prendiamo, paghiamo, ci sediamo e consumiamo al calore di un bel sole. Era ancora presto e non c'era ancora tanta gente. Alla fine, rispondendo con gentilezza alla gentilezza, riportiamo il vassoio, sistemiamo le sedie, sorrisone reciproco generale e ripartiamo.
Una volta tanto non esco da Nemi col nervoso e l'amaro in bocca, pur continuando a pensare che la quasi totalità degli esercenti qui dovrebbe morir di fame. Le Delizie no, le salvo...
La buona educazione porta sempre a qualcosa
