26/10/2025: A family-run trattoria, unassuming but with truly excellent food. The staff is friendly and helpful. Try the nduja bombette (or ravioli with ham). The homemade desserts are also excellent.
11/10/2025: We love it. We stumbled upon it three years ago by chance, looking for a place to eat, and despite its modest appearance, instinct told us to stop.
The lady cooks like a pro: pajata, truffle ravioli, and bombette stuffed with anduja and provola cheese... Everything is super homemade and delicious. And the gentleman is incredibly friendly and welcoming; he spoils us with a drink, even a non-alcoholic one for my son, and always has a kind word for everyone.
We hope it never changes, and I'm a little sad to write this review for fear it will be overrun by tourists, but they truly deserve it.

08/12/2025: Everything was fine, but the tables were too close together and there was no menu with prices, even though they weren't expensive: we had fettuccine with ragù, wild boar stew, 1/4 bottle of wine and water for €28.50.
24/11/2025: We visited this trattoria for an evening with friends and it was a perfect experience. Excellent cuisine, authentic flavors, and carefully prepared dishes. The live music created a lively yet never intrusive atmosphere. The staff was attentive and friendly throughout the evening. A place where you can eat well, have fun, and truly feel at home. Highly recommended!

23/09/2025: A small restaurant in the center of Canale, delicious food, spectacular mussel and clam sauté, as is the spaghetti with clams... Giacomo, the owner and chef, is a charming and cheerful character... clean and tidy. We'll definitely be back. La Messinese 🥰

22/05/2025: Dopo diversi anni, a Pasqua siamo tornati in questo ristorante nel centro di Canale Monterano ed abbiamo ritrovato la consueta gentilezza delle cameriere e cibo abbondante e ben cucinato. Per il giorno in questione c’era un menù speciale, non alla carta, mi avevano correttamente avvertito per telefono quando ho prenotato. É stato tutto di nostro gradimento ma segnalo in particolare gli gnocchi al ragù di cinghiale e l’arrosto misto cotto nel forno a legna, il pollo ruspante fra i migliori mai mangiati. L’utilizzo di prodotti locali sicuramente aiuta molto, anche una semplice insalata è risultata gustosa. Per un pranzo completo dall’ antipasto al dolce con caffè ed acqua compresi abbiamo speso 39 euro a persona, davvero un ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo.

28/07/2025: Piccolo locale dove si mangia benissimo.Cibi casarecci con ampia scelta di menu.Anche la pizza e' buonissima.Ottimo rapporto prezzo/qualita' unito alla cortesia e disponibilita'del personale e del proprietario.
21/06/2025: Cena intima con mia moglie. Il servizio del risotto è stato impeccabile come sempre, tagliere di terra per due e carpaccio di porcini veramente ottimi, poi siamo passati direttamente ai secondi. Lei ha preso delle lumache e io spezzatino di carne ai porcini. Condimenti perfetti di sale e piccantezza. Alla fine gli amari offerti da loro. Prezzo assolutamente congruo alle pietanze consumate. Consiglio assolutamente il ristorante, e consiglio soprattutto la prenotazione
