22/07/2025: On my first visit to Irpinia, my boyfriend, who lives in Sant'Angelo dei Lombardi, took me to lunch at this beautiful agriturismo located in Guardia Lombardi. The atmosphere is typical of an agriturismo; the place was very quaint, surrounded by greenery, with an outdoor area with swings, a fountain, and a hammock. All the staff, from the owner to the girl who served us—whose name I don't remember—were incredibly kind and welcoming, and they stopped to chat pleasantly with us.
To start, we were served a delicious appetizer with cured meats and various snacks: eggplant parmigiana, grilled vegetables, stuffed peppers, and pan-fried mashed potatoes. Everything was excellent; I was absolutely thrilled. The ingredients were high-quality and flavorful. With the appetizer, we were already satisfied. We continued with a lovely main course, a nice slice of grilled meat (veal for me) and lamb for my boyfriend, accompanied by a salad. The meat was cooked divinely. We finished lunch with coffee and liqueur. All the products are genuine, grown by the owner and cooked by his wife, even the pasta is homemade (we opted for meat). Kudos to all the staff; I felt welcomed and pampered. It's definitely a place to spend a wonderful day and relax, as we did. I even enjoyed the hammock; it was wonderful.
Irpinia is truly a land of hospitality, rich in genuine, quality products, pure, uncontaminated air, and welcoming, kind, and hospitable people.

02/11/2024: Si mangia bene a Il cacciatore. Piatti della tradizione e in adesione ai prodotti della stagione. Da assaggiare in questo periodo la cremina dei fagioli con le castagne. Tra i primi convincono i fusilli con il ragù di maiale e ricotta secca, i tortelli con funghi e zucca. Ottimo l'agnello alla brace con patate al forno (tagliate a mano). Solo per i dolci c'è qualche perplessità come nel caso del tiramisù e della ricotta con pera (alquanto elaborati). Da accettare con serenità l'aglianico della casa. Il locale è accogliente (anche se piuttosto anonimo). Il paesaggio attorno è una bellezza naturalistica. Il personale è sollecito e garbato, che accoglie cliente con grande gentilezza. Buono il rapporto qualità prezzo.
