19/07/2025: We returned to this place six years after our last visit, following a beautiful day spent at the beach in Soverato. We were craving something special, and we found it with the guys at Roots, who consistently deliver.
We ate on the terrace overlooking the main street. We ordered two sandwiches, a true house specialty. One with grilled octopus tentacles, lamb's lettuce, chicken salsa, mayonnaise, caramelized onion, and purple potato chips. The other sandwich featured grilled prawns, burrata, lettuce, salsa americana, bacon, and grilled eggplant. An orange soda and a very special Dam Inedita beer—all for just €37, but the quality is top-notch. Recommended.

19/07/2025: During our 2025 holidays we had both dinner and lunch in this small but super welcoming restaurant. What can I say? Everything was fantastic... from the fish to the meat, the service was excellent, and the owner was very friendly... I highly recommend this place.

02/07/2025: Excellent place, with prices rightly related to the quality of the dishes. The two new types of pizza (cloud and Roman) have excellent doughs and represent, if you want, a moment of sharing with other diners. The icing on the cake are definitely the desserts. Absolutely to try the decomposed cannolo and chocolate cake with raspberry heart that is served still hot.
29/06/2025: For those who want to try something unusual once in their life, I tried the recommended pizza with tuna tartare and courgette flowers, excellent I would say
The rather high price corresponds to the quality of the flours and ingredients so indisputable

Excellent experience at Trattoria Il Maestro in Soverato! Warm welcome and family atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. The service is attentive and friendly, always with a smile.
We ate very well, but the dish that won us over was the linguine with mussels and clams: spectacular! Pasta cooked to perfection, very fresh seafood and a truly delicious balance of flavors.
The other dishes were also excellent, everything taken care of down to the smallest details and with quality ingredients. You can feel the passion in the kitchen and the desire to make customers feel good.
Highly recommended for those looking for authentic cuisine, fresh products and a welcoming atmosphere. Congratulations to all the staff!

13/07/2025: Small roadside restaurant. Tourist menu for €20: pasta, fish main course, coffee, and water. In our case, the catch of the day was tuna. The pasta was good, and the grilled fish was excellent. The fried fish and red shrimp pasta were equally good.

Sono appena uscito dal ristorante Lido San Domenico a Soverato e devo dire che la mia visita è stata davvero indimenticabile. Questo ristorante di pesce ha offerto una vasta selezione di piatti eccezionali, tra cui le irresistibili Alici Arriganate, un piatto tipico della tradizione locale.
Appena siamo entrati, siamo stati accolti calorosamente da un personale attento e cortese. L'ambiente del ristorante era accogliente sulla vista sul golfo di Squillace
Le Alici Arriganate, proposte come specialità del ristorante, sono state una scoperta sorprendente!
Durante tutta la cena, il personale si è dimostrato disponibile e attento, assicurandosi che avessimo tutto ciò di cui necessitavamo. Il servizio è stato rapido ed efficiente, ma senza mai farci sentire affrettati.
Per concludere, il ristorante Lido San Domenico è un luogo da non perdere se ami il pesce fresco e la cucina locale. Il tutto servito su un incredibile terrazza con vista!
02/07/2025: Nice beach with a sea view restaurant, good food, the waiter with cross earrings (a young boy) very kind and professional while another waiter with an Ussop t-shirt is perhaps the very unpleasant manager when you ask him something he doesn't answer and looks at you badly. 🥲

But the cuisine is something horrible! I order a chitarra all'astice, a lobster arrives that was definitely defrosted at the moment, boiled very badly. The pasta served next to the lobster was completely disconnected. It seemed like spaghetti with garlic and oil that also came out badly! Very low quality and high prices! Absolutely not recommended!

Ma la cucina qualcosa di orribile! Ordino una chitarra all’astice, arriva un astice sicuramente scongelato al momento, bollito malissimo. La pasta servita a fianco dell’astice completamente slegata. Sembrava uno spaghetto aglio e olio venuto anche male! Qualità molto bassa e prezzi elevati! Assolutamente sconsigliato!

06/05/2025: By booking with theFork the venue applies higher prices than those applied to other customers so the 30% promotional discount makes no sense. The owner claims that it is permitted by theFork but theFork customer service I contacted responded:
"...
I would like to inform you that our partner restaurants are required to reserve the same treatment for all customers, whether they have booked with TheFork or not.
It is therefore not allowed to have a double menu with different prices just because you have booked with TheFork.
..."
The owner told me that it wasn't convenient for him to use TheFork and that he wanted to give it a try; I replied that the convenience had to be assessed first and that in any case with the -30% promo he could gain new customers like me; he replied that he doesn't need new customers.
12/02/2025: In the internal alleys of Soverato Marina, I came across this place, with very friendly staff and a pleasant climate, to try the off-menu dishes that seek traditional flavours. Advised.

01/07/2025: Bad experience, I don't recommend it and I won't be back.
We asked for a lemon Estathe and a Hugo Spritz: they put a lemonade on the counter that was passed off as Hugo Spritz and a San Benedetto lemon tea for a total of €9.50.
We emphasized that we wanted that specific brand of tea and magically it popped up...always at the same price.
We paid with the POS and he kept the receipts that I had to ask for.
I understand many things, but I didn't appreciate it at all.
