15/01/2026: What can I say? Terrible in every way. Never again!!! Highly discouraged!!!
15/01/2026: I went today for the first time after visiting the Sanctuary. I usually go to another restaurant nearby, but luckily it was closed today, forcing me to change.
I chose "La Perla del Gran Sasso" because it was the only one open and because I'd already heard good things about it.
The location is very simple but welcoming.
The waitress is very professional, kind, and quick with service.
I chose the €25 fixed menu.
Pappardelle with duck sauce. Duck with sauce. Mixed roast (3 types of meat: lamb, pork, rabbit). Ascolana olives and cremini mushrooms. Mixed salad. Cake. Coffee. Wine and water.
The portions were generous and excellent.
Very fair price.
I recommend it to everyone.
I'll be back!!!

29/11/2025: We had a great time. The rooms were very clean, tidy, and welcoming. The food was excellent, the staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was family-like.
02/11/2025: TLDR: Don't go to this hotel; the reviews are lying to you.
English: I would give a zero if I had a chance, but this was probably the worst hotel I've ever been to. The front desk lady is the most unapproachable person ever, and she was very rude to my family. Breakfast is this military-style system where you have to request what to eat 24 hours in advance. There were no people at this hotel. Probably for a reason. Don't go to this hotel and go to La Locanda.
If I could give it a zero, I'd give it a zero. It was probably the worst hotel I've ever been to. The lady at the front desk was just someone you couldn't get close to, and she was rude even to my family. Breakfast is some kind of military system: you have to say you want to eat 24 hours in advance. Are you kidding? There was no one in that hotel. And now you understand why. Don't go there. Better go to La Locanda.

10/11/2025: A small, family-run hotel. The rooms have new, modern furnishings. The breakfast buffet is excellent, with many homemade desserts, all delicious. Dinner is also very good. The only shame was that we found two bedbugs in the room; one was near my pillow that night, which wasn't pleasant. However, other than that, everything was perfect. Excellent value for money.
04/11/2025: We found it by chance for a business trip and stayed there for months, which means that everything was excellent to say the least. It's a family-run hotel, and the best part is that they always treated us like family. The welcome and kindness were excellent. The rooms were always clean. The entire property was recently renovated, everything was new and equipped with every comfort, from TV to air conditioning. Rooms had balconies and large, new bathrooms. The staff were always available. The cuisine was traditional and plentiful, and breakfast included homemade desserts. Highly recommended.

27/01/2024: Il titolo non è a caso, anche se purtroppo ci vorrà del tempo prima di dimenticare questa esperienza di qualità pessima!
Siamo andati con la voglia di arrosticini, ricordando una buona qualità in merito, ma… subito doccia fredda (in tutti i sensi, dato che sembrava di mangiare all’aperto, d’inverno e in alta quota), arrosticini che sembravano arrivare cotti dalla settimana precedente…, duri, freddi e dal cattivo gusto.
Subito li abbiamo fermati, bevuto un sorso di acqua e letteralmente scappati!!!
Purtroppo prima di “scappare”, da persone oneste e per bene, abbiamo pagato il conto, pure salato!
Ho cancellato il numero!
20/01/2024: Siamo stati in famiglia dopo aver prenotato, scegliendo un venerdì sera. Ci siamo trovati a dover mangiare arrosticini non freschi, sicuramente di giorni prima, duri a dir poco e cotti male. Siamo rimasti delusi e amareggiati, visto che conoscevamo già il posto. Sicuramente non torneremo più. Abbiamo risolto tornando a casa e cucinare.

17/04/2024: Da provare assolutamente, ambiente familiare è molto accogliente.
Gnocchi fatti in casa, allo zafferano, molto gustosi e unici.
Arrosticini e castrato da provare senza limiti.
Da non mancare la torta tradizionale, come si mangiava solo dalla nonna…
Prezzo onesto, quindi da provare

25/04/2025: Eravamo già stati due volte ed eravamo rimasti abbastanza soddisfatti. Cibo buono, tradizionale e abbondante. Siamo tornati a pranzo il giorno di Pasqua ed è stato piuttosto deludente. Cibo normale, porzioni scarse, vino rosso assolutamente imbevibile, servizio molto lento. Bambini che entravano ed uscivano dalla cucina. La sensazione è stata quella di aver pagato più della norma per un pasto molto al di sotto della norma e sicuramente non all'altezza della festività. Non credo torneremo più.

12/07/2025: The service is mediocre. It's catastrophic; there's a veritable tourist list. The food quality is particularly scandalous. Avoid if possible.
