28/12/2025: 2025 Update: Quality has fallen to the core! Today I went back to this place after 3 years (previous review below). The food quality has significantly degraded, Service quality also degraded! The biriyani which I really liked last time, this time it was nothing more than a mix of tomato passata and rice! The pakoras and chaat were all browned and soaking in oil, clearly old pakora and papri were fried another time and served! And it was dot at 12:15 noon, when they open the restaurant, and not like late night. The service person forgot the naan we ordered and served another type of naan, also said the tamarind chutney was finished at 12:15!! Chicken Madras (supposed to be spicy and hot) was sweet and bland!!! Price is increased to an extend, while portion size has been decreased! It was a sad to see a good restaurant going downward in such manner! Much deserving 1/5! 😑❌ 2022 review: I'll suggest You should try. We tried few proper Indian dishes namely 'Carne thali- Agnello'(4/5), Biriyani Agnello(5/5), Malai Gamberi(2/5), Pollo Tandoori(4.5/5). Ambience and location is very good. Feels actual Indian. Staff are well behaved, smiling and helpful, can be a little careful about watching their own show/mobile bit loudly. Food was quite well (except Malai Gamberi). Best thing is you can ask to control spice; more spice or less, as per your choice! Carne thali consisted of many things, couple fried snack(samosa-lentil fry-papad-some battered fry), riso pudding(Payasam), 3 piece of pollo tandoori(1 piece each of 3 type), riso, naan, agnello curry etc. I felt the riso and naan portion was a bit less (for me though) in the thali (one/one-and-half cup of rice and 2 naans). Agnello curry was great, fantastic cooked and proper indian taste. I seldom get this kind of lamb curry in abroad. Again, Lamb/agnello biriyani was fantastic, lamb was cooked properly and good size portion. And the Ghee (kind of Indian butter) smell made my day! Coming to the disaster, Malai Gamberi!! The Gamberi was good and cooked well, the only reason I gave 2/5 to this dish! The curry was basically tasteless! It should be sweet and creamy, but moreover it was less salt and without any taste! Pollo tandoori was quite good, portion was not so value for price, but I dont have much complaint! Try with the 3 types of chatni they provide, feels good! Overall, a deserving 4/5! ❤️☮️

23/12/2025: Authentic Indian restaurant in Milan. Highly recommended. The New Delhi Restaurant on Via Tadino is a true gem for those seeking authentic Indian cuisine in Milan's Porta Venezia area. The dishes are prepared with great care, featuring intense yet well-balanced flavors, perfectly measured spices, and quality ingredients. From korma to tandoori, everything is truly amazing and true to Indian tradition. Delicious! The staff is extremely kind, welcoming, and helpful, always ready to recommend dishes based on your personal tastes. The atmosphere is simple yet warm and pleasant. Excellent value for money. This restaurant deserves to be much more well-known and popular. If you're looking for one of the best Indian restaurants in Milan, this place is definitely worth a visit.

14/12/2025: After many years, Shiva remains my go-to Indian restaurant in Milan because the food is always delicious, the prices are affordable, and the set menus are well-designed (I like both the Shiva and vegetarian menus). Not all the ingredients are top-quality (the menu says the chicken is Aia, and the shrimp don't seem particularly fresh either), but so far I haven't found better Indian cuisine in Milan. The staff are always very friendly, and the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere.

08/10/2025: One of the best Indian restaurants I’ve visited in Europe. Authentic Kerala food, rich in flavor, and exceptional hospitality. Highly recommended!

06/10/2025: This is my first time, i love the food. Specifically, it served South Indian Food. The atmosphere is nice and quiet. The staff (girl) is so helpful in English, because I found it challenging to speak Italian or Malayalam. The chai tea never disappointed!

06/01/2026: A welcoming place where you can feel the warmth and Indian culture. Their menu is extensive and includes delicious dishes at fair prices. We always eat very well every time we come here, drawn in by the hospitality of the staff and the very comfortable atmosphere. Highly recommended; you leave feeling full and satisfied.

02/01/2026: The atmosphere is beautiful and evocative, full of details and Indian culture. Unfortunately, the service was incredibly slow, even though the restaurant wasn't busy and it was midweek. The food was good, but not all of it was brought together as it should be, so the bread got too cold, which was a shame. The price was absolutely reasonable and appropriate.

12/12/2025: We went here for lunch. The place was very clean and the staff were very polite. You can browse the menu using a QR code, which is very convenient. They also have vegetarian options, not too spicy food, and chicken or lamb. We ordered the same appetizer (don't ask me the names, I find it hard to remember 😅), then two types of chicken cooked differently, and dessert, which was absolutely amazing. Highly recommended, and a reservation is a good idea.

27/11/2025: A great Indian restaurant in the city, it's perhaps a little pricey, but with The Fork's discount, it's a real gem worth discovering. Regardless of the price, the food is good and carefully prepared, and the staff is helpful and eager to explain each dish on the menu. Proof of the restaurant's quality is the fact that it's frequented by many Indians: when we dined, a busload of Indians stopped for dinner.

08/01/2026: I go to this restaurant often and always recommend it to everyone. The staff is always very discreet (they've become a rarity these days), the atmosphere is quiet, and the decor is classic ethnic Indian. The food is very good and not overly spicy. For those unsure about which dishes to choose, I recommend one of the many set menus they offer. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

04/12/2025: I've known this restaurant for 13 years, it's a guarantee! Tasty and original dishes, friendly staff, and an always attentive owner. In fact, it's special because they fulfilled my daughter's wish: they made her delicious cheese naan with gluten-free flour (which I brought from home)!!! Sure, there's contamination, but how many people would have made it especially for just one customer? Truly SPECIAL! The menu also features many naturally gluten-free dishes. Highly recommended for lunch, dinner, and takeout!! Everything delicious!!

15/01/2026: The food is good, but be careful when ordering. Instead of white basmati rice for 42A, they charged me a spicy sauce with vegetables for 32A. It was takeout, so I noticed it when I got home. And then they raised the prices without warning or explanation.

27/12/2025: A friendly chicken joint that instantly makes you feel at home. We've been here several times and have now tried everything! The chicken melts in your mouth. :) Let the owner guide you, and he'll be happy to point you in the right direction.
