01/01/2025: Excellent restaurant where you can taste typical Casentino dishes. A special mention goes to Fiorentina, always excellent and of high quality. Exceptional panoramic position, at the top of the beautiful medieval village of Poppi, in front of the castle.

06/01/2025: We arrived at this place for lunch on January 2nd, and although we had called because there were 22 of us, they told us that we couldn't book. When we arrived, however, we found two beautiful tables already beautifully set. We ordered the platters. They are served on a large plate and The Hunter has an extra saucer with polenta with wild boar ragù. The ingredients seem to be fresh and tasty, especially I took the Cacciatore and the polenta was really rich and the cold cuts very inviting. The Schiacciata that accompanied the dish was delicious: hot with a tender and crunchy center on the outside. The dishes with Chianina meat burgers are very abundant. If potatoes are included in the dish, they are served in a straw paper bag which is also hot and crunchy. As well as mushrooms and onion rings. In my opinion, for the price they have, they are an excellent solution for lunch. The service is fast and all the staff are courteous.

01/11/2024: Dall ambiente alla cucina qui si respira toscana al massimo,però siamo venuti la prima volta e ci aspettavamo di più.Innanzitutto capisco che è una locanda tradizionale,però un pizzico di modernità non guasterebbe e allora un menù cartaceo secondo me è necessario.Anche perchè a voce i camerieri ci dicevano cosa avevano da offrire,poi però vedevamo girare anche altri piatti mai nominati..boh!Poi devono fare attenzione alla contaminazione del cibo,nel 2024 non è concepibile che un cameriere serve con lo stesso cucchiaio una pietanza senza formaggio e una con il formaggio.Pur vero che all ingresso c è scritto di segnalare le allergie o intolleranze,però..per esempio ho ordinato delle tagliatelle ai porcini e mi sono accorto che nei porcini c erano pezzi di carne..forse il solito vizio di usare una posata per più pietanze?C è da dire che il servizio,anche considerando il pienone,è stato piuttosto veloce e cordiale anche se calpestando la nostra cagnolina la cameriera si è lasciata un pò andare..ma vabbeh lasciamo perdere.Ciò che invece siamo rimasti male è il conto finale,a confronto con un tavolo per 2 persone e stesse ordinazioni nostre.Praticamente al momento del pagamento,antipasto 2 primi,2 secondi e dolce abbiamo pagato 60 euro..antipasto,2 primi 2 secondi e dolce ad un altro tavolo 40 euro e caffè offerti.Forse a clienti conosciuti un occhio di riguardo,anche 2..,noi per la prima volta invece no? Inoltre, nello scontrino "menù conv." senza elencare a singole voci le pietanze consumate con i relativi prezzi. Alla faccia della trasparenza.
